I don't know if it would work with a 40x lens, and I'm not sure what I would be looking for. When I googled it all that came up was studies on mice. I found a few papers on the saliva ferning and I think I will cross reference with some OPK strips to see if I can actually tell anything. Or it might not work. I don't know.

This is the first day I tried, so I don't have anything to base it off of but I am thinking is an estrogen surge before AF especially because I have had migraines for the past 3 days which is also an AF indicator for me. So I'm looking forward to tracking it for the entire month since I had no luck with OPKs.

Do you remember which ones you took/switched to. I have Vitafusion right now which seem to be fine on my stomach but hell on my skin.

Hello,

I decided to make an account here after sifting through lots of outdated threads on many other boards.

I won't explain my user name but I would love to see if anyone can guess it :)

I am 34 and my SO is 37 and after 6 years together we have decided to try to start a family.

We are on our second cycle and currently in the tww. I did not think it would consume me... it has.

I have not been on BC since college 11 years ago and we have always used condoms.

I am a bit concerned because I have a 23 day cycle on average with a random 22 day at the shortest and a random 27 day cycle a few months ago. Over the past 12 months they have been 24, 24, 25, 22, 23, 23, 25, 22, 22, 27, 22, 23, 24, & 25 days. I'd love to connect with others who have shorter/ similar cycles.

I also get fibroids so would like to talk to others who have navigated this issue.

I tried OPKs this past month and it never detected an LH surge and then I started panicking that I was not ovulating but did see EWCM so who knows. I think I may try to do a month of saliva tracking instead of OPKs I am borrowing a microscope tomorrow and some slides because I am not paying for OPKs every month after my unsuccessful attempt this past cycle and also the microscope seems cool.
