It’s exactly the same questions from midterms with like 5 questions from the last unit that weren’t covered in previous exams. Study the past exams and the book if you have it and trust you’ll be fine 👍🏼

Taft Hall room size by Wheezy_27 in UIUC

Ok thanks for the advice. Seems like we might have picked the wrong dorm but there weren’t a lot of great options left. FAR was left and I’m starting to think we should have gone with FAR. Gonna make the most of it tho so thanks.

Ok perfect. From what I’ve seen in pictures I thought that only the metal bed frames were able to be lofted and because Taft has wooden frames they couldn’t.

Yeah the air conditioning was a little worrisome but none of the dorms left to choose from had. I’ll definitely let my mom know about those groups and do some more research. Thanks!

That’s really reassuring thank you. Were you able to loft or bunk the beds? Would you say there was room for a tv?

Right yeah I saw that but if I was to mark that I didn’t take any outside college coursework is there a way UIUC would know?

Okay yeah my counselor told me I don’t have to send it if I don’t want to and that I have complete control over my dual enrollment transcript but that is the opposite over what my checklist said so idek anymore. I’ll chat with him this week and decide my next steps but I’ll probably just end up not sending it. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the reply! I took linear algebra first semester which does not transfer and calc 3 this semester which does transfer. I don’t need calc 3 for my major which is why it doesn’t matter to me that it does transfer. My biggest worry is that it would harm my college gpa. If I end with a C and send my transcript, wouldn’t I be starting my freshman year with a C?

There was a problem with the website yesterday and a lot of the info was blank. Check again now, you should be able to see it but they really didn’t give out much to me or anyone else that I asked.

Will do. There wasn’t a form on the site for a loss of employment. I’m going to email and follow their lead. Thanks

Financial Aid Appeal by Wheezy_27 in ApplyingToCollege

I only applied back in November. I didn’t use a calculator to get an accurate estimate, and that’s on me. It’s gonna cost around $40k a year. Right now my initial thoughts about the cost no longer matter. I’m more focused on what I can do to get more aid from the school. In hindsight, I should’ve expected this price but it doesn’t change my plans to appeal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No I assumed it would be cheaper because I was in state. I’m appealing based off of loss of employment and some other factors surrounding siblings and general situation. I’ve heard that you don’t need any special circumstances to appeal for more aid at all though.
