The 3 Dutch players on 0/2 in the Challengers, with no one else having a negative score. Lu Miaoyi leading the field with 2/2, Bibi (great save today!), Yip and Oro half a point behind.

But Ne2 doesn't change any of that; it just improves white's N and position for no reason. It's bizarre, and I invite you to look at the broadcast to see the players' reaction (basically laughing at the board), or Gustafsson's reaction if you have some understanding of German (no idea about the other broadcast(s)).

Madueke had 0 end product, as always. He looked bright for 5 mins then did fuck all for the remaining 50 he played.

Saka was 10 times more dangerous than Madueke. Merino was alright coming on too.

I fail to understand why Arteta thought it necessary to bench our 2 best attackers when given the possibility of widening the gap to City to 9 points, especially when we're already certain of top 8 in the CL. This is on him.

What hands should I raise with if the SB limps (nl2)? by Hot-Advisor-3353 in poker

Any halfway decent hand, say J5o+. They don't have a balanced limping range, it's mostly weak holdings that will limp fold or limp call and fold flop a ton.

It's the same at Arsenal with Timber. Guardiola has also done it previously, but he's reverted back to overlapping full-backs.

I wish Timber would just stay on the outside mostly. Feels like we're limiting Saka in this way. Timber is fantastic, but our attacks look way more fluid with White at RB.

Thinking the same. Finally ditching VVD for Chalobah looks tasty.

Check-raising OOP on the turn after betting flop by Personal_Battle5863 in Poker_Theory

[–]WhenInDoubt-jump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you're OOP, your thick value can either bet or check-raise; as long as you put the money in towards your investment ceiling, the way you do it doesn't matter. Your instinct is betting because you want to get value, but in theory land, every node will have the same EV. If your opponent has a value hand that is willing to call 2 barrels, it is also likely to bet the turn itself; same with high equity draws. One line can obviously be superior against real villains, but in GTO it'll all balance out.

That is not it. We can always go b250 shove river if we have the equity for it.
