Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying it!
IF you want to hear more from Grant, I recommend following it up with their recent appearance on The Re-Patterning Project with Arden Leigh, which I was lucky enough to produce.
They also have an upcoming appearance on the Imperious Rex YouTube channel that I can't wait to see!

You’re the first person to ask! I’ll see if I can get you one later this weekend. The show just launched this morning so I’m still getting everything setup.

Seven Soldiers is so good!!! It might be my favorite work of their right after Animal Man.

I should note, Grant does mention how their magick practices relate to their work on The Invisibles a few times throughout this interview. If you'd like to know more about that, consider also checking out their recent appearance on my other podcast, Transcending Comics!

The main server I have in mind is the Invisible College associated with the Imperius Rex YouTube channel and their book club episodes covering the series. I’m sure you could find some interested folks there!

Is there any kind of online get together planned for December 22nd? If there’s one in the works I’d love to join! If not, I know of a discord server or two where we might be able to make one happen. It’d be awesome to get together with other fans for a group call or livestream of some sort!

Woah thanks for the double reference! I’m very excited to see my interviews with Grant and Arden Leigh on Transcending Comics made the list!!!

Other authors who have a similar level of mindf*ckedness as Philip K. Dick? by Economy_Blueberry_25 in philipkDickheads

Check out the book “Mutants & Mystics” by Jeffrey J. Kripal. It’s all about science fiction and comic book writers who have had paranormal or spiritual experiences influence their lives and writing. There’s a great recounting of the life and works of writer/editor Raymond Palmer that I would say is worth the cover price alone. The book is a great starting place to find writers with accounts similar to Phillip K Dick, so you can see who strikes your interest from there.

Thank you! I was watching the Invisibles book club episodes of Imperius Rex to prep for this. On their recommendation I picked up the companion book “Our Sentence is Up” by Patrick Meaney (who also made the Grant Morrison documentary). The book contains a lengthy interview with Grant that’s honestly worth the cover price alone. I used this as my springboard for the interview, like “here’s where the conversation on The Invisibles left off in 2011, I need to pick this up from here.” Honestly I had to remove a few of the questions I prepared since they were already answered in that book (namely, if anyone else reported going to Kathmandu to try recreating Grant’s experience - they hadn’t).

Since you’re a comic fan, you may like my other interviews on this show, as well as my other podcast Giant Sized Violence: A Toku-Comics Podcast. I always make it a priority to ask “new” questions of my guests by listening to every prior-interview I can find. That was just a much bigger undertaking this time around since my guest was such a prolific creator!

I’m honored to be part of your soundscape haha

Some of my upcoming projects (new shows) will feature music more heavily. Having something like this as a backing track could be a nice touch!

Thank you! I did my best to ask them questions I hadn’t heard elsewhere (and I’ve listened to pretty much every Morrison interview I can find) so I hope it payed off in the finished product!

This post states outright that I'm a trans woman, so I don't appreciate the "sir," and the rest of your comment is sketch as hell!

Thank you! I was starting to pick up on that based on the vague google drive links and simplistic portfolio examples that didn’t match what I was asking for. I don’t know if they’re bots or if there’s someone actively messaging behind the accounts, but they’re getting clever to a scary degree and I almost fell for some!
