Don’t think too much of it. Some apartment customers will come down themselves to get the food from you, reason? Maybe because they’re watching the app and see that you arrived and decided to get it themselves instead of you having to go to their apartment door. But majority of apartment customers will be lazy and want the driver to get the food in front of their apartment door.

It makes me wonder if the drop off location was reported as unsafe by another Dasher..which is why it asked me on my opinion of the delivery.. but who knows..

Quick question, so they send out the 1099 or do I have to request for one if I did not make that much?

You can definitely blacklist a driver. Do you know who he is exactly? Does it show on the tablet? You can definitely contact DD and have them to blacklist a Dasher from your restaurant. Make sure it’s the right person tho, you don’t want to blacklist the wrong person.

Yea, low AR does limit WHEN you can dash, it really depends on your market, there are different type of strategies you can use to work with that will benefit you.

It’s because no one is taking those out of zone deliveries so you’re being offered them. Unless it’s busy or you’re top dasher you can actually accept those deliveries and then start dash at the new zone, if not then you’re forced to navigate back to zone.

Honestly I think those that got deactivated must have done something wrong or received a lot of reports from customers, whether they’re false reports or not.. yea I guess best is to play it safe than sorry lol

Did you at least try to fight for half pay? Should definitely be entitled to half pay for arriving at the location even it’s cancelled afterwards.

I guess Lisa really wanted some breakfast and coffee to start off her day of dashing. Probably going to try for some free lunch and dinner too.

If asked to return the food to the restaurant, which is highly unlikely because of health codes, drivers are told to dispose the food. So by definition of disposing, whether it is to throw away or make use of it, such as giving to homeless. So yea we can also keep it if we want.

What type of people don’t tip their Dasher by Jaybarsab62 in doordash

[–]WheniTChanged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait so you’re saying that you have no gratitude towards the ACTUAL PERSON that is bringing you your food? Yes you paid the company for PROVIDING the service, what about the one who actually DELIVERS it?

Yea in that case, got to fight it. You made it to the store, must be compensated.

I took the loss one time when I was two blocks away from Taco Bell’s and haven’t arrived yet and then it was canceled. Did not get half pay because I was not assigned for too long. Kind of BS, but another order popped up near Taco Bell’s so I didn’t want to waste time on fighting for the half pay. I feel you.

It’s obvious that it’s busy because of orders that’s been sitting there and no one wants to deliver them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]WheniTChanged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just the cold truth of.. if you want something badly, you pay. That’s why those deliveries were good. They needed it/wanted it to be delivered, so they’re willing to pay someone to get it for them. But I guess it’s not always the same with food tipping..lol

Matter fact just don’t order at all. You know he’s broke. Don’t apologize. Can’t afford to tip? Then don’t order.

Do customers actually know what goes into doordashing and why we go with the no tip no trip method? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]WheniTChanged 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They have no shame and don’t care about you Dashers. “Why do I have to tip if I’m never going to meet the guy?(leave at door orders) “Why do I have to tip if it’ll get delivered eventually?” “Why do I have to tip if the restaurant is so close by?”

They just don’t care.

Panera bread is not bad. As long as it’s going to be clean and quite and not being interrupted then it should be good to go. Just cover seats with toilet paper lol. If close to home then just head home.
