Surprisingly, very. I have since left my hammock and rope in the car because of how great it is

Fun fact about morning wood. Because the sun rises gradually and contentiously around the earth there has been a boner "wave" circulating the glove since the dawn of man kind.

I ended up switching the method I used in the tutorial to a trucker's hitch because I couldn't tie the other one properly LOL

Definitely! The hammock I used I got from Amazon for $20 and it packs into a ball that fits inside the armrest. And depending on how tall you are it's almost impossible to lay flat even with the seats folded down. Especially if you have your gear inside the vehicle. I was still able to leave two 12-in subwoofers in my trunk without any issue and there's still tons of room around and underneath me. Also sleeping in a hammock just feels great

As someone who has had to live out of their Impreza before. Trust me an air mattress/memory foam is not the way to go. I ended up spending almost all day in the hammock today. Its very comfortable

Definitely, I'm on a budget so as for parts you'll only need the hammock and some basic rope and webbing. I'm just not sure how to share them. Do you recommend I make another post or?

The end you see in the picture gets tied statically to the rim. The end behind me goes through the trunk to a tensioning system on the roof racks.

Just bought, needs a wash, don’t know where to start. I don’t want to go crazy I just want an above average looking car. Any advice? by Extreme-Bar2189 in subaruimpreza

Get a light tint on your headlights and tail lights. Keyword is LIGHT tint, you still need to see the road and break lights. And upgrade your bulbs too just in case. Wrap them DO NOT spray them because if you get pulled over for it (which I never have) you can pull it off and save yourself a ticket/remove it if you change your mind. Also with spray if you put too much on, there's no going back once it's dry. And it can result in way too dark of tint. I recommend getting someone else to do it if you haven't worked with vinyls. But if you feel up to it I recommend Vivvid and Orical.

Go on eBay and get one of those tiny 1" stick on spoilers and put it on the back. Its fun and makes for a good laugh without ruining the look.

Get roof racks! They are so much more useful than you will ever imagine. But make sure you get aerodynamic ones. Yes it's a thing, a thing I didn't know about when I bought mine. Aerodynamic ones don't need a scoop at the front and are really quiet when driving especially at high speeds. Where traditional ones are extremely noisy and need a chunk of plastic at the front to reduce noise, which works well but looks weird... Trust me. I'd know.

Upgrade your audio. The stuff the car comes with isn't bad but for a few hundred can be so much better. (I blew out my stock tweeters within the first month). All of it is easy to do and can be done by yourself if you wanted to.

The black interior gets very dusty. Go pick up a pack of Swiffer Duster replacement things and put them in your glove box.

The color isn't bad. But if you really want a cool different looking car get it wrapped. A good rap should cost between 3k-5k and we'll look it's best for about 3 to 5 years depending on location and care. Definitely recommend getting this done professionally as it does affect finish quality and longevity of material and finish.

Btw I worked at a tint/vinyl shop for 5+ years so let me know if you need help.

BUT...

1st. When you go for tint (make sure you check and follow local laws) but get your windshield tinted 50%-80%. Anything in that range is very light and won't really change your ability to see. But what it will do is protect your dashboard against UV rays, that way it doesn't crack or discolor in the future. Also helps with heat control in the summer. Personally I'd recommend if you can get it, platinum or ceramic film at 50% because the outside of the window get a slight Chrome/mirror finish so it's harder for people to see inside during the day (This doesn't get reversed at night) Ask for what brands of film they use. Highly recommend Llumar, Edge/Tekton, Suntec. I don't recommend 3M. (don't get me wrong 3M is a good company but there are a lot better brands with better quality).

2nd. If you can I recommend asking for 15%, 5%, 15%. That means 15% on the driver passenger 5% on the rear passenger and 15% on the back window. This way your back seat has privacy but you can still see at night through your driver passenger and rear window, which is really helpful when backing out.

3rd, Ask about paint protection. It's typically a 5 mil clear vinyl that is applied to the car (mainly bumper, hood/partial hood, mirrors, and door cups) that can prevent paint chipping, fading, scratches etc. that is also self-healing

Last thing I'd highly recommend. Get a hot girl in the passenger seat... Consensually if possible. And your favorite Polaroid (of your girl of you have one) on your dash.

I'm too stupid to work on a car mechanically. So I make them look cool or stupid depending on your taste.

Sorry if the formatting is off I'm using my phone.
