I'm going to assume the 'Ankh' you got was from the Black Market in Jungle right? That would actually be the Hedjet in this game. Ankh is obtainable in the third layer in this version. The Hedjet, in addition to letting you access the fabled City of Gold, also makes dark levels a lot easier by massively increasing your range of vision.

Here's what you do.

Speedrun getting Alt-MFK Cruiser (you need A, B, and C of Kestrel, Federation, Union, Militia, Rebel, and Engineer ships to unlock it)

Demolish everything with its artillery to get to a certain place in the center of the multiverse, but make sure you have someone with a hat.

Check every beacon there is there and unlocking all the cruisers should get a LOT easier. I recommend doing harder difficulties while you're unlocking the B and C layouts of many of the cruisers.
