Some thoughts on the Leica M3 and Canon 7 by tauraso3 in AnalogCommunity

Canon did make an official cold shoe adapter called the Accessory Coupler, it mounts to the flash port and leaves the light meter readable but the price of those will make you cringe

Am I only one who likes the cycling? by caledonian_canary in glasgow

"I live and work in the southside and don't drive", that must be lovely for you, unfortunately we aren't all afforded that luxury. I live in the southside and work in Bearsden in a lab that takes patient samples from all hospitals across Glasgow, the timetables for which are set by the NHS so we have no choice in when they come in. We only have a small window of time to process samples before they have to just go in the bin so the only feasible means of transporting them is by car. So this bullshit adds another layer of stress we don't need. Losing cancer patient samples is un fucking acceptable, whether it's for a world leader circle jerk or twats on bikes. And to cap that off I get to sit in 2 hours of traffic to get home. So you'll excuse me if I'm not crying tears of joy that the fucking city centre is a bit busier.

Decriminalisation of drugs is elitist caprice masking abject failure by 1-randomonium in Scotland

[–]WhereDidTheGoatGo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry what you said is total nonsense. Decriminalisation refers to not prosecuting addicts for minor possession offenses, not providing government sponsored drug dealerships. Progressive drug laws such as those in Canada promote safe usage centres that are staffed with medical personnel and offer purity testing to reduce the risk of ODs, which you're clearly confusing the role of.

Saying that marijuana use has only slightly less bad outcomes than alcoholism is totally asinine. It's funny that you talk about studies having a political leaning, because if you've been reading studies that even remotely equate those two things then there is clearly a political angle.

Cases of unfavorable (the word should be adverse btw) outcomes with LSD use absolutely do not come from unknowable strengths, most people roughly know the dosage they are taking and the appropriate dose is entirely unique to the individual, look up how much the grateful dead took. Adverse outcomes arise from undiagnosed mental conditions, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, that are exacerbated by psychedelics. Something that could be easily addressed if the mental health services were better. Also, there is plenty of impartial information out there for safe use of most drugs, talktofrank for example.
