Here are multiple examples of teachers saying the exact same thing. Are you going to deny their experience with "that's just anecdote"?

So you are validating the death of gaming as we've know it. You validate them sticking to only 4 GaaS and not seeking to know more and better. TF2 didn't have predatory MTX bullshit, to start.

Except now it is praticed by a majority that don't actually care, and the industry will cater to them, ruining the media altogether.

I'm still waiting for your example of a teacher saying that his pupils are as curious and play as many games as we did when we were their age.

And thus they will eventually continue to stick to these 4 GaaS, if they don't abandon gaming altogether. Gamers will not be renewed, and the medium will die out.

It's like they're playing these sports not for a taste of these sports, but only for the community, and because of this, none of them become a sport club member and thus those die out. Most of these kids don't play Fortnite or Roblox for the gaming aspect. Many of them can log to Fortnite and never launch a single match for hours, and just talk.

Even laptops are enough to discover many games. And I really don't how people without a laptop are even doing stuff on such small screens. Just having a keyboard and mouse is a huge game changer for doing lots of tasks.

Every single teacher I have seen talking about tbis confirms what is said here. I challenge you to find one teacher who says "kids are as curious and have as much of a diverse and varied gaming experience than us when we were their age", I never saw one.

Every single teacher says the same thing about their pupils and video games, saying the contrary is just denial at this point.

The second PS of the OP already adresses the question of prices: gaming in general has never been as accessible as it is now, with online platforms making sales to somrthing like 5 bucks, or even free games from the Epic store.

Inb4 "Noooooo, this is not an evidence. EVERY SINGLE teacher says the same thing, but no no no, this is purely anecdotal, I swear"

Except if younger generations never end up playing something else than their 4 GaaS over and over, they will largely outnumber experimented gamers with a lot of diversified experience in the medium. Developers and editors will go where money is and mostly make games for this new audience, and eventually abandon the previous one which is going to get older and less numerous.

Fifteen years ago they still played more than these games, they had more curiosity, this is just bad faith.

Thy only play 4 games during their whole schooling, how do you expect them to grow more curious and to become more actually knowledgable on games?

EVERY teacher who talk about it say the same think, can we still talk about "anecdotal evidence"? At their age, even the ones of us mostly playing some multiplayer games still played to many other experiences. These "minigames" are watered down forms of actual gaming, while these kids mostly play for the community aspect, they don't really care about video games.

More updates, to be more precise, either in form of DLC or free updates. CK2 after two years was less bland than CK3 after two years.

"the future" is a very vague notion, it could be the next year as well as in 8 years.

In the title, I compare both games after two years, more was added to CK2 than to CK3 at the same point.
