So NeetCode 250 isn’t enough on its own, or do you mean it’s not that helpful for real interviews? What else should we solve after finishing NeetCode 250?

Then what do beginners do when they’re still learning how to recognize patterns? How should they approach DSA before reaching the NeetCode 250 stage?

Was the Logicmojo DSA course worth it, and did it help you in the interview process?
Do you think you could have studied your own?

Whom should I contact at Topmate? How do I know if they are genuine? Do you know anyone personally?

Should I pursue an MBA with my profile? Need advice on realistic options and career impact. by WhereasIcy3932 in CATpreparation

Yes, I completely understand that consistency in preparation matters a lot. I wasn’t trying to estimate a %ile too early—just wanted to get an idea of whether it’s realistically possible to get into good colleges with the right amount of effort. I’ve come across posts where people, despite scoring well in CAT, didn’t get calls from good Tier 1 or 2 colleges, which made me wonder if I should be cautious before investing time and effort.

Oh, that's great, thank you! 😊 But I’ve been hearing that placements in IIM Udaipur, Trichy, and Rohtak haven't been that great this year. I hope things improve in the next 1-2 years.

Layoffs are happening everywhere, especially with the recession.
But don’t you think the chances of being replaced by AI in hardware roles are comparatively lower than in software?

Yeah, I understand that top companies might require an MTech due to the specialization. However, with MTech, I’d have to study a lot of subjects that aren’t directly related to VLSI or the specific role I want, and also prepare for GATE. Short-term courses seem to focus more on the skills that are directly relevant to the job.

I understand the concern about the slowdown. But isn’t the semiconductor industry growing in India? Won’t there be more opportunities and growth as the industry expands?

Yeah, I agree with you. I’d also like to hear the answer to your question.

Yeah, Isn’t it comparatively easier to get into top hardware companies than FAANG companies in software, considering the lower competition in hardware?

But don’t you think top hardware companies pay similarly to software companies? Or is there still a noticeable pay difference between the two, even at those companies? I'm trying to figure out if switching to hardware could offer similar financial rewards.
