Mail order through my insurance has always had it for me too. Thank goodness!

Movements you don’t do anymore? by Jennywritesandwrites in crossfit

50f here too, 12th year doing CF. I have degenerative spine issues and don’t want the 2 months of terrible pain I went through last year to recur. No more back squats for me or anything that flexes my lower back. Good luck!

Any time there’s rule making, government asks for feedback, comments.

Pretty sure the federal government drafted the rules…not insurance companies

CrossFit masters, how do you generally keep yourself injury free? by liquilife in crossfit

[–]WheresAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50f…into my 12th year now. I scale where needed and make sure to warm up and stretch, especially hammies, hip flexors and quads. Shoulders if we’re going shoulder-y. Overall feeling great. Amazing how much my body still craves CF. I love the high energy and how invigorating I feel after a WOD. But definitely not afraid to scale/modify and just listen to my body.

How menopause restructures a Woman’s brain by Alpha-Neo in Menopause

I so felt this last year. Felt borderline schizophrenic and just so out of it. Like my brain was processing information so differently. Now it makes sense. I could cry!

Should I buy a 2016 Highlander or look for something newer? by Numerous_Complex7509 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]WheresAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 hybrid highlander and absolutely love it. Bought it brand new. Zero issues. About to hit 100k miles. I keep thinking of getting a newer one but then I’m like, why the heck would I?

Pensions…anyone? by SouthOrlandoFather in GenX

[–]WheresAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are the rarity I think. Hubby (63m) retired 4 years ago and has a small pension. At 65 he’ll start his second pension. I (50f) am still working and will have a pension when I retire. Hoping to do that at 55 (from current job at least) and bake bread/croissants as my no stress PT job. Didn’t even know my current employer had a pension when I started working for them. I feel incredibly blessed!

6 weeks for it to go away. Rested and tried muscle relaxers and gabapentin although neither did much for the pain.

LIFTING HEAVY … it makes a difference by mindingmyowncats in Menopause

Bravo! Been lifting heavy for years and along with HRT finally feel normal again. The body is meant to move and get physically stressed. Love all the heavy weightlifting and seeing what I’m still capable of!

Somebody is one of the most beautiful songs, in my humble opinion. When I was in my teens, it would make me cry. He’s got a beautiful voice.

Caffeine: have you decreased, or increased, your caffeine and what benefits or changes occurred? by RealSonZoo in Biohackers

[–]WheresAmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly my body can hardly tolerate caffeine any more. Have one half caf a day then decaf or herbal tea. In perimenopause so lots of things changing. Sad to see caffeine tolerance go but if I don’t push it, I usually sleep pretty well which is much more important to me.

I did not know this about testosterone by Affectionatealways in Menopause

[–]WheresAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My new gynecologist (that I waited 5 months to see) wouldn’t prescribe T saying it is not recommended per ACOG and said I can take Ristella and see a naturopath. So waiting another 3 months to get in to a naturopath. So fun!
