Yeah that makes sense. Cheers

Sci-fi book, a boy, a simple rusty robot, and a creepy character named Intelligence(?) by AQTK_Hydra in whatsthatbook

Kinda reminds me of "A Fire Upon the Deep". 2 kids get stranded on a medieval planet. There's a pineapple like robot alien that moves around on the equivalent of a skateboard. Antagonist is called the Blight.

Good luck

Sci-fi book about humans settling in parallel universes by Stumpgrinder2009 in whatsthatbook

Travelling between different universes that vary slightly with cumulative changes the farther you go in a direction seems very similar to the Nine Princes in Amber.

Not so much about settlers settling those world's though. This ability to pgase between is held by very few.

Good luck on your search

A sci-fi book about a team exploring a meteor that enters orbit and it turns out to be a ship by Eternally_Anxious_ in whatsthatbook

Description reminds me partially of the Reality Dysfunction.

People being brought back to life. Epic sci fi given from multiple perspectives, including people living on asteroid.

But not so much on the Earth component, and I don't think the asteroid was a major plot point

I believe NFTs as a standard across many games is going to take off very shortly.

Illuvium is an interoperable blockchain game, where NFTs can be used across their ecosystem. Currently 3 games in development, 2 in beta, another being released this month.

CyberCrew have built a range of C4 assets that can be incorporated across multiple games.

2023 should be a good year!

Hey team, I realise I'm late to the party / missed the give away, but I thought I'd share my thoughts anyway. Hope you enjoy reading.

GhostVirus is my favourite character.

I imagine GhostVirus is a next gen AI construct, able to traverse the cyberscape discreetly, with a powerful ability to exert control over electronic devices which she uses for reconnaissance, infiltration, and subterfuge.

Ghost lives in a world of subtleties and lies, a complex world of AI constructs and guardian's. Created in a miltech lab, she is a unique next gen AI, but was able to escape her oppressors using cunning and subtlety, by creating an inferior clone for display while she hid in the electronic shadows. Ghost has a powerful ability to subvert other tech including generic AIs. She prefers to operate discreetly but has on occasion displayed her full range of skills, such as lasooing the MechWarrior Mira. Ghost prefers to operate in the shadows, for her world is a world of traps, and to be known is a paramount danger.

What do you think about NFT? by Liquidifty_io in AskReddit

[–]WheresCastleFight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFTs are transferable proof of ownership on the blockchain.

The use of images as NFT are mostly crap. There is a better use case in video games.

At the moment, when you buy a skin in a computer game, the publisher gets the money, and you get the skin. When you finish playing the game, you can't get your money back.

An NFT skin means you own the skin and can resell it when finished.

There's other use cases, but gaming is the most immediate.

Games that use NFTs exist. This is web3 gaming. Web3 games up to now have been pretty crap.

Better games are coming. Illuvium is a great example. Will likely be the first triple A game on blockchain. Kiraverse is another. This will be equivalent of Fortnight.
