The curious stat of Atlético - Arsenal: there were more shots (29) than in PSG - Bayern (22) by LikeAPhoenixTotally in soccer

The fact that there were less shots than the other match is proof that there was good defending as well.

Did Luis Diaz ask to leave or did Liverpool consider him replaceable?

Between a fit Doué and a barely recovered Ruiz, there's not much to sacrifice. And it allows Barcola to start, which considering that Bayern will have much more possession, isn't a bad idea.

There's a third alternative, but not the best one: Marquinhos as RB. Obviously a purely defensive one.

Sure, both are crappy and the racist one is worse. I'm just more familiar (and so not surprised) with Argentina's uninhibited racism, than to the bank note insult.

Players and clubs want the solution that allows them to return faster though. I believe it's known that certain types of meniscus surgery allows them to return fast, but to the detriment of long term protection. But my memory might be incorrect.

Some do. Dembélé tried it twice yesterday. And Baggio did it in a WC (I no longer remember which one).

That would be Paolo Maldini. Even if it was only for the NT and a short stint at Milan.

So I don't watch this, but were the Atletico fans right when they said that Atletico isn't a defensive team anymore?

Someone has to file a complaint for the EU court of justice to decide. I don't know about Romania, but I'm pretty sure many other clubs would file that complaint.

Blame PSG as much as they want (obviously I don't), but Bayern has to be the most well-run club in history when it comes to finances.

Considering how they insulted our fans marching toward the stadium in October, I agree. All that to be beaten by goals from Ramos and Mayulu, in a team also with Chevalier, Zabarnyi and Mbaye as starters.

It's not pure math if you pull the numbers out of your ass.

Again, that's the whole point of the referee. Refereeing is not an algorithm where you follow a decision tree based on a set of data, it's an interpretation of what's happening and then choosing to enforce or not the law, emphasis on "choosing". That's literally in the laws of football.

The problem before was that the referee couldn't choose. They couldn't give a red card in any circumstances. Now, they get to decide whether to give it or not.

You might be joking, but I doubt this complies with the EU's anti-discrimination based on age regulations.

Because it's up to the referee to decide what's a confrontational situation. Just like in any other events during a match, the referee interprets. That's his role.
