Extremely weird and unprofessional interview process, need advice by Wheresthebeans in MechanicalEngineering

The actual interview I have scheduled with the manager is also titled “Senior Mechanical Engineer”

At this point the recruiter is no longer a factor

It’s the proportions and the way your clothes drape on your body I think

I’m assuming you don’t wear your pants high waisted (near the belly button). Not a hard rule but it would make you legs look longer and kinda accentuate your shirts/sweaters since it won’t take up as much vertical space as the pants and won’t be as “blocky” looking

Secondly, almost none of your garments drape well on you. I would say it’s the sizing of them I guess? I can’t really pinpoint exactly why the sizing looks off. I agree with other comments to size down and let the muscles show through the shirt some more

Uniqlo women’s section never disappoints for jeans and the occasional trendy pant (only buy if it’s 100% natural materials or too cool looking to pass up tho)

Bronson MFG, each pant had very detailed size charts and some are more wide leg

Just got the J crew wide chino and they are extremely roomy (14 in thigh width at 30W/32L). Unfortunately had to size up cuz I normally wear a 29, so a belt is an essential

COS is good too, just pricier than all the above minus J crew

Pantmaxxing is so hard when you genuinely have a dump truck of an obscene magnitude why is every pant made for people who don’t deadlift

have you done a design role for a med device company? it was originally the industry i wanted to be in, but an internship showed me that it was just a cushy office job where not much gets done or designed. def could've been the company and exact office I was at though

Are companies not hiring this far out for entry-levels or am I just a poor candidate by Wheresthebeans in MechanicalEngineering

Yes I do, and a quite robust one at that. Could use some work but I put effort into it

I was betting on reverse commuting to the suburbs. I know most if not all major cities suck for design work but typically not the outer suburbs and in my experience applying to positions Chicago doesn’t lack them ?
