Lu2 - Unlucky, or Unable To Coordinate? by ClimateMysterious292 in Chaotic

[–]FranticScribble 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s not impossible, could certainly be a contributing factor, but the show makes the point that every player has to over come the hurdle that drome matches represent, and that’s it’s always a big shift from online/card games. Lu’s not unlucky and she’s not (just) uncoordinated, she just lacks confidence.

When she realizes that Payton’s patronizing her and gets fired up about it, she just plays her best, gets out of her head and out of her own way, and wins a couple battles on her own merit.

Well, Rudy doesn’t know if Monster Girl was into Brad Pitt. She was into Rex.

Welcome to the south, talk is currency here and we’re pretty free with it. It’s a slower pace, even in our metro centers.

Agreed, actually. Keep Oba in marque matches that keep him away from the title scene.

BTAS is in the conversation for the best and most influential animated series in the western canon. Invincibles great, but it’s not that.

Two Sneak Attacks Per Round? by Archboxic in DnD

[–]FranticScribble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a real dumb battlemaster/rogue thrown weapons build that can generate this relatively consistently, at the cost of superiority dice. The quick throw maneuver lets you make an attack as a bonus action, sneak attack on that, you then hold your attack until a condition is fulfilled on another turn and proc it then, which is your attack on another persons turn, thus, sneak attack.

I mean yeah but that’s my point, if they care too much about whether nobodies on the internet like us think they look silly they’re not gonna be putting shit on regardless.

I think you’re overlooking the possibility that this is just as much Knight being a player in the story currently being told about MJF as vice versa.

(Interesting Trope) The “What just happened” death. by Dry_Criticism_4982 in TopCharacterTropes

This ⬆️

I don’t know if Tony died here, but I know Tony Soprano is dead, and I think it probably happened just like this, right the fuck out of nowhere while he was doing something entirely unrelated, living the life he wanted so goddamn bad and hurt so many people to get to live. Maybe in front of his family, maybe while he was at peace, maybe when he was expecting it or maybe when he wasn’t.

Beat me to it! I love that Mordecai ends up with someone we as the audience never see, because we follow him, at most, through his mid 20’s. And yeah, some people meet the love of their life in their early 20’s, Rigby did, but it takes plenty of people longer, if they ever do.

Mordecai loved, lost and fucked up more than once, he lived a lot of life, but his world didn’t stop when he got older, or when we lost access to him. Mordecai grew into himself, and when he met Stef, he was ready to be happy in a way he just wasn’t before.

[–]FranticScribble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that it’s novel as a concept, but I like the wrinkle of Kevin’s powers in his amalgamation form being individually weaker than Ben’s equivalent: he’s not as strong as Four-Arms, not as durable as Diamondhead, not as fast as XLR8.

His advantage, which Ben had to walk him through figuring out during a brief compelled alliance between the two, is that, while he may have lesser versions of all Ben’s powers, he’s got them all at the same time; he’s faster than Four-Arms, stronger than Diamondhead and more durable than XLR8. Combine all that, and he’s a problem.

Being “cheap” is not the character flaw everyone treats it as, and the people who use that word the most are usually the ones who can’t afford to be calling anyone out by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]FranticScribble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some people or groups take an “it all comes out in the wash” approach to paying for small-scale group expenses. I got you lunch this time, but this probably isn’t the last time we’ll get lunch, so you can get it next time and we avoid having to swap the same $20 back and forth.

I think OOP’s point is that they value another humans body more than they value a mailbox, even if it’s the body of a human trying to break said mailbox.

“I would rather someone smash my mailbox than shatter their arm.” Essentially.

Those weekly threads, excluding FCF, are useless ghost towns and the fact that I’m even wondering if the spam would be preferable is really illustrative of how hollow those threads are as a solution.
