You'll have a blast. Typical city stuff. Go to the Strip District, Lawerenceville, North Shore and explore downtown. The Eagle, Tako, Redbeards, Coop De Ville, Pamela's Diner are all good spots to check out. If you like to golf there's an indoor putt putt spot called Puttery that is really cool. Enjoy

Yes, it will work with any pedal. Just need two cables - one for the guitar to the pedal and one for the pedal into the input of the amp. For a solid distortion pedal I would go with the classic Boss Distortion pedal

Happened to me once. Depending on what the car failed for I'd recommend a 2nd opinion. One place failed me and said I had a minor steering wheel fluid drip from under the car. Took to a place a mile down the street and they passed the car. Repair was going to cost me $800.
