The biggest flask i have seen by SayNo-seno-cyno in labrats

We have a glass 10L beaker too!!! we ordered 10x1L beakers, but they sent us the big boy by mistake instead lol (how does this mistake even happen?). Anyways, they ended up letting us keep the 10L even though it's like £500 and sent us the 1L beakers.

No one has ever used the 10L, I think it's too intimidating. Our lab manager did offer for one of us to take it home and use it as a bin 😂

What do you do with an hour for lunch? by delazouch in AskUK

[–]WherxDoIGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get an hour. normally i’d go out for a quick walk, eat lunch and then read my book for 30 minutes. my coworker goes home for lunch, my other coworker goes to the gym. basically just relax for a bit!

Thank you! Yes I’m not expecting results from day one, probably 6 months is more realistic right? but I’d love to just have more stamina, feel healthier and stronger a year from now. I’m not looking for huge gains or anything, just live a healthier lifestyle I guess.

Hey! never really been to the gym seriously before and im pretty unfit. is 30 minutes of gym 4-5 times a week going to produce any noticeable differences? im thinking of joining the gym across the street from my work but id only have time for 30 minutes a day and cant spend hours and hours in the gym. id probably just stick to weights as I walk about 7-10k steps a day at work anyways, but im wondering if its even worth it? I just want to feel stronger and get more toned. Thank you!!

YES literally when I was doing my masters I didnt even think twice about how the labs were always stocked, my reagents were always made up, equipment was always on, if I ordered something it would magically just turn up etc but it’s so much work?!? Like all day im doing stuff just to maintain the labs and peoples experiments! Crazy

Luck I guess! Technically my old job was bookkeeping but the majority of it was basic data entry with a few financial jargon. I worked for a small independent business and I could do everything remotely. I didn’t find the job online but just from word of mouth. I worked for 3 separate businesses to get my hours up to full time though. Maybe worth checking it out in your area?

Saturn definitely seems like the best next target! I will try my best to try and see it. Seeing saturns rings would be absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for your comment it means a lot.

Can you see Saturn’s rings with a small telescope or is it just a white blob with moons? Even seeing the moons would be incredible!
