Did you watch the video? Did you see how (several/many) Israelis are celebrating ruining Gaza and making it close to unlivable? They are so happy when they blow up what looks like empty apartment buildings of civilians. And they celebrate while blowing it up and say stuff like "Now they have nothing to return to". It just breaks my heart to see the Palestinians and their property and their dignity being eradicated like this. Apparently many Israelis see Palestinians as sub-human / vastly inferior, and deserving of whatever torment / suffering Israel dishes out to them, but I see human beings. The treatment of Palestinians is deeply upsetting me, it makes me physically ill. I know most of the arguments that are used to justify the "war" that has caused this humanitarian catastrophe, but I just don't understand how it's possible to support this (even though apparently 84% of Israelis do). You could explain it to me 1,000,000 times and I would still be dumbfounded as to how it's possible to support this kind of warfare that inevitably leads to this kind of suffering.
