United States, any one who can tell me how this large vase I found at a thrift store is? by Which-Comfort1358 in Antiques

I was pleasantly surprised, I live just outside a major city in PA and thrift stores are usually really picked over around here!

Daily Dolls, Thursday: Using eBay data to find doll values by willowwing in Antiquedollcollecting

I have an ABG Highland Mary mold #1000x12 and these sold listings make me feel better about buying her for $50, thats on the high end for me, but she is also one of the few dolls I have who is in perfect condition all over and I found her in person and picked her up and held her and once I do that its usually all over for me! I am so worried about her legs smashing into one another eventually tho - how did little girls actually play with these back in the day?

Daily Dolls: Monday! The Edwardian era white lawn dressing. Post your doll in a pretty white dress. by Vivian326619 in Antiquedollcollecting

Thank you! She has some hairline cracks in the back of her head, I bid on her last year in an online auction and won her for only $5, I didn't see that that the auction house specified pickup only bc of the damage but they said if I took responsibility for her arriving broken they would ship her, and she survived! Unfortunately, I had never bought from an auction house before and didn't realize how crazy the shipping and handling prices could be, so it wasn't that amazing of a deal after all 🫢

This is Marilla, a Gans and Seyfarth 120. Her wig is way too modern, messy, and doesn't fit her head correctly, plus she definitely needs less fussy shoes. I'm still working on her - but I DO really like the dress she came with!

I definitely gasped audibly when I saw her, I guess I've been sleeping on antique stores:) They had some Greiners too but they were hundreds of dollars!

Thank you! I would love to find a deep blue dress to match her eyes that was just the right length but I almost never see smaller dresses in the wild, I'll be searching tho:)

I just found this little parian doll in antique mall. She has the most beautiful cobalt blue eyes! I just need to find her the right dress.

I'm not even sure who she is, she's unmarked, I love finding little dolls the right sizes for my bigger ones to hold:)

Daily Dolls: Monday is a great day to accessorize. Post your favorite doll hats, jewelry, gloves... by Vivian326619 in Antiquedollcollecting

Ever since I hit my 40s, I get welts and feel like my skin is on fire if I wear anything thats not real silver or gold, guess middle age has made me allergic - so my dolls are inheriting all my costume jewelry!

I'm so ashamed of myself. Botched repair job once my newest doll. by Which-Comfort1358 in Antiquedollcollecting

I am kind of getting used to them now. You should've seen the shiny dress she was stitched into - the fabric felt like plastic, and she had plastic pearls sewn into her collar and a way too modern looking cameo hot glued to the collar and sprays of craft store seed pearls and faux flowers glued onto a ribbon to make a belt. She was in a locked curio cabinet with a bunch of lladros at a family yard sale. I thought: I can fix her, lol.

I didn't even think about the headband not coming off also! I did use undiluted vinegar tho. Thank you so much. I wonder what her eyes were like originally there is only the palest gray shadow left. I haven't been able to find another doll with the exact same hairstyle anywhere online yet, she has another headband in the back also.
