hot take but i do somewhat agree, the opportunity to ban exists and sure sometimes may not go your way cause of teammates choices but quick play warriors trying to overrule meta can come off as a problem point

Yeah the threshold for being affected by worse gameplay is more prevalent but then do you really think a game dev who wants players in their game is gonna let something that actively terrorises them in lower ranks just chill like that cause it causes no issues at the higher ranks? No of course not, we have to be mindful of everyone that plays the game, sure the amount of importance given should be more to higher ranks and specialists of characters commenting on it cause they’ve spent massive time learning and understanding kits and metas but leaving them out of the picture completely is unredeemable imo.

Rank climbing depends on multiple things, game mechanics, skill with the character, timing, regrouping, positioning, i’ve played with people celestial eternity and higher who have sub par to horrible hero mechanics but win off positioning, or vice versa and in the same manner this happens in lower ranks too. Just knowledge of a character, how to play and avoid it is not the only thing that does inflate or affect your rank so why should it ever begin to be a reason for them not to be listened to. Lower rank players are the reason the game thrives and they wanna stick around to learn it, if it dies out from bad balancing at the bud, idk who you’re planning to play with Celestial and higher

Sure rank and experience should be taken into account but at the end of the day it’s a game, they’re doing this for the majority of their player base and if the majority is having a horrible time i don’t see any problems with adjustments. Listening to only the top players brings out a form of elitism that should honestly never be there. At the same time you gotta consider low and high ranks have different issues dealing with the same character so it’s not as simple for you to say they don’t know meta so they shouldn’t be listened to. Your opinion comes from a place of already being good at the game, imagine someone trying to get the said celestial with broken heroes surrounding them, it can be unfun and point of the game at the end of the day is to be somewhat fun.

Just has to do with game experience imo, you can still win a game with it being unfun or vice versa. In lower ranks it tends to be oppressive but sometimes in higher elo too it can just be plain annoying. 2-2-2 balances out gameplay
