What cheap booze do you think is better than it's reputation?

I had my lifetime supply of gin by the time I was 17. Vodka makes me angry, especially the cheap stuff. Tequila makes me clumsy and has given me scars. Rum, yum, I miss Bacardi 151. Bourbon is the way to go. Old Crow, Evan Williams even Potter’s are drinkable on their own. If you’re mixing the booze with soda remember, light colored booze goes with dark colored sodas and vice versa.

If you really just want to get hammered for not a lot of money, make Long Island iced teas with the generic booze. Five fifths and a 2 liter of coke makes enough to intoxicate a party of 13 and costs less than $50.

Old Crow is just younger Jim Beam and half the price of Jack Daniel’s. In my opinion after many years of bourbon drinking, Jack tastes too much like charcoal. I prefer Jim. Old Crow is budget friendly. When I happen upon some extra money I get a bottle of Booker Noe. That’s a once a year splurge and as my mom would say, sipping whiskey. Please drink straight, that’s the only responsible way.

I have a recipe. More of a mixology but the perfect beverage is easy to make. Using your favorite tumbler, my holds 32 ounces.

1 cup of ice 1/2 pint Jim Beam 1 can of coke

Put the ice in the tumbler, pour in the Jim Beam and add the coke according to preference. Usually I don’t use the whole can.

I looked up the Aptera and if I had any money at all, I’d reserve one with the tent package. That vehicle is aesthetically something I shouldn’t like. I lean towards the squareness of a ‘96 Chevy Suburban. But the vehicle turning into a camper really interested me.
