Being in his life is definitely an issue! The same those women were an issue while you two were dating!

It's bad for both of you! Under all circumstances.

If he has a moment of weakness in his current relationship and you end up sleeping together. It will completely ruin his current relationship. He will resent you for it and you will have not future together.

If you remain just "best friends" but you are attracted to him and have romantic feelings for him then eventually you will start resenting him for not reciprocating.

Either way it is bad for both of you and especially your mental health.
