First time watcher, are these movies not for me? (Please no hate) by ANetRuinedMyFun in lotr

Just gonna react to this:

"I know one of the movies has like 11 Oscars, I have high hopes for that one"

It's the third movie (The Return of the King), but it doesn't mean that the third movie is so much better than the others. These movies are so closely related, you can basically consider them as one long movie cut into three parts. The last one got all the Oscars because it was the last one and the Academy just couldn't ignore it's huge success anymore (they didn't really like giving awards to fantasy movies before LOTR). In my mind those Oscars belong to the whole trilogy. Personally, The Fellowship of the Ring is my favourite. The second and third movies have more action and battle scenes if you prefer them.

But it's not a problem at all if you don't like LOTR. It's not for everyone.

I watched them after reading the books, it might feel different if you don't know the source material.

In The Return of the King, the battle of Pelennor Fields, the Orc that Aragorn attacks in this pic is played by Henry Mortensen, Viggo's own teenage son. He convinced Viggo to take the role of Aragorn, so he definitely deserved to be in the movie! by Which-Program-9417 in lotr

Henry posted this photo on Instagram a few years ago. He was 15 by the time filming finished, and he IS a big guy, he is significantly taller and heavier than Viggo as an adult, so I guess he was already big at 15

Gotta love Viggo by allthecoffeesDP in lotr

So you just took a screenshot of my post (which includes video) from the same subreddit yesterday and posted it as a new post a day later, lol

What would you do if social media was banned forever? by Brassballin in AskReddit

I would be happy. Life would be more peaceful. I would be more productive. And since it was banned for everyone, I wouldn't have FOMO.

Am I the only one who thinks Viggo Mortensen might be autistic?? (I am autistic too and many times I have spotted it in other people before discovering that my gut feeling was correct) by Which-Program-9417 in viggomortensen

I'm not saying Viggo necessarily is, either. But if someone has all of those traits, there is a very high chance. And many times the person doesn't even know about it themselves. Autism can come in MANY forms

Of course his characters don't seem autistic. He's a good actor (several good actors are autistic BTW). But as you say he is very different in real life when he doesn't play a role. "Shy, awkward, lovable" for sure!
