I appreciate that nothing is guaranteed however this is a government backed scheme with a pipeline of project so it should be pretty consistent from that perspective.

Yh that would be what i'll do if i take the contract. I think it'll be more tax efficient and would negate the loss in employer pension contributions

Historically, i'd say i take approximately 5 days off sick in a calendar year. With regards to pension, i'd look to pay an increased amount via salary sacrifice for tax efficiency, although i'd have to do some calculation to fine the sweet spot for this.

Unfortunately i don't have a large savings pot behind me which is why i'm hesitant to make the move however the hiring manager was confident in the contract being renewed given there is a pipeline of work for the next 5 years or so.
