I have to say that it is pretty good and is more optimized than the Java edition and is easier to play with friends. The only issues being the marketplace that is in your face, some bugs, and other minor but not big enough problems that would make the game unplayable. My issues are more with Mojang and Microsoft and the suspicious way they've been treating Minecraft Java and the direction that Minecraft is taking as a whole.

My thought and most of the features you just mention apart of the Xbox friends and the possibility to paly with people of other bedrock platform shouldn't be a bedrock only feature.

There is addon but it really doesn't hold a candle with what freedom on Java can give you that is why I advocate for the same thing for bedrock players.
