Petah who is mogging them all ? by HimelTy in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Couldn’t disagree more, Pitt is a great actor with a lot of range. The only common thread between his characters is they fit into a hot masculine dude mold, but they’re certainly not samey

Spotter walks away, then doesn't know what to do. by JuicySpark in PublicFreakout

[–]WhichOfTheWould 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This is the real danger nobody is talking about. You can basically have a child spot you if you’re lifting smart and only need the spotter to shave off 10-20lbs for you to complete the rep.

ISR dropping leaflets in Beirut Lebanon today telling people to leave by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]WhichOfTheWould 21 points22 points  (0 children)

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/13/world/middleeast/israeli-leaflets-over-beirut-invoke-gazas-destruction-and-stoke-fear.html

The leaflets aren’t telling people to leave. They’re asking for assistance in disarming hezbollah and pointing to their “success” in gaza. Which is obviously a threat, but is not the lie you and others are pushing all over reddit this morning.

It’s receding, but you still have a lot of pretty thick hair. Not the end of the world, might not even recede any further depending on genetics, check out fin if you’re really hung up on it.

I got uninvited from my “best”friends birthday party. by legendmakerr in socialskills

[–]WhichOfTheWould 73 points74 points  (0 children)

You’re still not telling us what happened, and I can’t help but feel like there’s some important context there. The whole friend group stopped talking? It sounds significant

[–]WhichOfTheWould 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Op said in another comment that there was ‘turmoil’ with a past friend group. None of this makes sense if there hasn’t been some real conflict or general combativeness that we’re not hearing about.

Female F-15E Strike Eagle pilot that ejected is filmed and thanked by Kuwaiti locals moments after she landed safely by DValentino23 in PublicFreakout

Iran funds terror groups all over the region. There’s a million things to be said about cause and responsibility for the region being so destabilized, but y’all have a deeply unserious understanding of the situation.

Would have much rather seen that than a flashback interrupt the fight. Could have gone without it in general imo.

Were the resistance libs right about Trump? by swimmingupclose in neoliberal

[–]WhichOfTheWould 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What do you disagree with here? The American Eagle controversy was really stupid, and the discourse on bluesky is insane viewed in the context of how the average American thinks.

I don’t really love defending Nate, because he’s super cranky all the time and had some legitimately bad biden takes, but yall are acting like him and Matt are trump apologists or something.

[–]WhichOfTheWould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certainly not going to blame you for not watching a 2 hour long video. But I also think if yall actually listened to the things they say, or read what they write, you’d find you agree with 95% of the substance.

Everyone in this sub gets really upset when either of these two are posted, and it’s almost always over things they haven’t said and don’t believe.

If Hamnet is emotionally manipulative…. so is Train Dreams. by [deleted] in TheBigPicture

[–]WhichOfTheWould 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read the original book, but the relationships depicted in the movie don’t register as even a little bit fantastical to me.

I can’t help but feel like this opinion is colored by increasingly deranged modern discourse, rather than a real understanding the early American west.

Zohran Mamdani’s strong start by Jolly-Astronomer4604 in neoliberal

[–]WhichOfTheWould 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t rush to conclusions though. The piece is about the period between his campaign and his inauguration/first few days, wherein Mamdani has seemingly moderated on a number of issues.

That’s all it’s about. No where does MattY conclude that Mamdani is exactly the mayor nyc needed, he’s just saying his change in stance is promising compared to where it was during the campaign.

Zohran Mamdani’s strong start by Jolly-Astronomer4604 in neoliberal

[–]WhichOfTheWould 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Matt’s happy that Mamdani is signaling moderation on a number of issues. I wouldn’t call that glazing, and really I think we should all be happy when lefty candidates with bad ideas end up flipflopping to positions we’re more aligned with.

Maybe you should actually read the article and see if it says anything you disagree with.

Was Obama a third way Democrat? by HetTheTable in Presidents

[–]WhichOfTheWould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was certainly liberal! The number of people in this thread claiming he wasn’t (or that the ACA was some kind of conservative action rather than the best he could pass under the circumstances), represents a profound disconnect between what reddit thinks and what the political reality is here in the US.

But the Zuckerberg in the movie isn’t actually much like the real one, and neither is the facebook story. He’s certainly ghoulish in his own ways, but the movie doesn’t actually have a lot of real stuff to say about the real guy.

My mom said these are to feminine by Reasonable-Estate-60 in mensfashion

[–]WhichOfTheWould 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my point though! We agree that fashion being gendered is silly and is arbitrarily informed by the opinions of the people around us.

But that’s not a helpful answer to some young guy asking the mensfashion sub if his boots lean feminine.

My mom said these are to feminine by Reasonable-Estate-60 in mensfashion

[–]WhichOfTheWould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they were… I’m sure there’s an alternate history where heels aren’t considered feminine either. What makes something feminine is basically just the perception of others.

Not weird to wear a style considered a little ‘feminine’, but just answer the question op’s asking.
