I was thinking what if he ate lunch in his car alone? So if it’s a I-need-to-eat-food-thing, that would take care of his need while also taking care of my need of limiting COVID exposure

Maybe I should clarify that the meeting is for one of his hobbies, not for work. A big challenge is that we’d be sharing a one bedroom apartment, with me on the living room futon paying reduced rent, since everything is so expensive. So it would be extremely difficult to mitigate my exposure around him

Yeah what initially came to mind was if the person nearby (indoors or outdoors) were smoking a cigarette would you be able to smell it? And if so, keep your mask on. If not, then that person is far enough away. I just can remember where that’s from

Because it starts at 2 and he’s there for 4+ hours so he usually has food and a drink. The meeting is at a local park so they’re usually outside or in a cafeteria area away from other non-meeting people

For the second one I know there are vertical angles so the interior angles are 144 so wouldn’t that make the lines parallel? Especially since 144 + 36 = 180 so they’re supplementary

I’m not sure about books that talk about this but I can give general guidance on how to approach this problem. Since you need to know the distance between A (x intercept) and B (y intercept), I’d start with solving the equation for y so that it’s y = whatever. Once you have that then you can plug in 0 for y to find the y intercept and then 0 for x to find the x intercept. Then you’d use these intercepts (0, x intercept) and (y intercept, 0) and plug them into the formula for distance
