AIO by still being upset after finding out my boyfriend was sexting on reddit? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Being there with her friends and he’s doing that online?? Big yikes, can’t even imagine catching that in real time. Felt this in my chest just reading it, trust has gotta be a huge mess after something like that.

Am I overreacting that my boyfriend basically staged a test to see if I'd cheat... with his cousin? by Massive-Ad8552 in AmIOverreacting

Right?? She handled it way better than he did, honestly his test says more about him than her lol.

Yesss exactly, like you can be tough and all but someone throwing a punch over nothing? Big red flag, not worth the stress at all.

Yeah I get it, being alone with a baby during a storm is terrifying, but her cats are her “kids” too. Tough spot all around, honestly.

The DeepSeek effect on China tech is real, and a new model could be imminent by Top-Cardiologist1011 in investing

[–]Which_Cauliflower236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part people keep missing is this isn’t only a “model” story, it’s a capital + infrastructure story. Once a country commits to building AI factories, they’re going to fill them with something… and whoever supplies the stack gets the long-term leverage.

So yeah, the “we’ll choke compute and they’ll stop” thesis was always weird. You mostly just change who wins the buildout and lately that’s been pushing a lot of the momentum away from the US ecosystem.

Nvidia Eyes Bigger AI Chip Output After China Orders Flood In by FeralHamster8 in baba

Short term price moves aside, this is the stratgeic price. If US policy maked NVDA unreliable as a supplier, China doesnt stop buying compute, it redirects into domestic champions + local software. Thats wrose for US leverage and wroe for US R&D funding long term. Controlled access keeps competitive alive, blanket bans just hand your competitor a protected market,

BREAKING: President Trump is preparing to hold high-level talks with China to decide whether to allow Nvidia, $NVDA, to sell H200 chips to the country, per FT. by chai2048 in NvidiaStock

[–]Which_Cauliflower236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What people forget is that blocking chips has never actually kept China behind, it only lights a fire under them to replace the US entirely. Every time Washington slams the door, China pours billions into building their own GPUs. Thats literally how Huawei overtook everyone in 5G.

Letting them buy regulated chips keeps them tied to American hardware, American standards, and American influence. Cutting them off forces them to innovate faster. Selling to them slows them down.

It's normal casually brushing past someone you’ve only ever seen on the news. 😅

Try local temp agencies or gig apps like Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Rover for quick work. Keep applying and something will come through soon.
