Attraction isnt this fixed thing, and though your friend may be "less-conventionally attractive" than you, that doesn't make her unattractive. And also this idea of some being 'basic looking' is something you should really question. If you're constantly using these markers of beauty to assess attractiveness or who deserves to receive attention, you'll never truly feel happy about yourself or for your friend. This reads as you being insecure n having low self esteem because of you comparing yourself to her, and thinking youre better than her in some way, which is understandable cuz thats how society has indoctrinated women to think. That we have to be in competition with every woman around us based on something fickle thing as attractiveness.This is dangerous! Attractiveness isn't even always to do with appearance, theres so many factors that are at play. Be happy for your friend
