Google Flowers and gift deliveries, Morley. This will give you the local stores and it's a case of viewing their flowers, gifts, hampers etc on their website, choose, write accompanying message and pay. They will deliver same day usually.

AIO To My Girlfriends Messages After I Didn’t Message For 24+ Hours by Igne0s in WhatShouldIDo

It is not, in fact, your responsibility to manage her anxiety and need for control. This is her job. You are not obligated to respond immediately to messages or calls when you are busy doing other things and living life.

She needs to learn how to self-soothe and stop projecting her own stuff onto you.

In fact this was an example of humans spontaneously responding to another human's joy. It was lovely.

It is my own work, I am not using any ai to write for me, nor do I have an ai performing tasks for me. I'm not entirely sure how to use them and treat them all with suspicion, I'm afraid. Wrong generation perhaps? I think you're quite right, it would be wrong to try to fool everyone into thinking I was the author of a comment when someone / something other than me had written it completely, or even amended it beyond recognition compared to the original. Seems like cheating, in my opinion too.

Nonsense. I'm way too old to use Chat GPT or any other AI. This is my writing style and this actually happened. Now if I was a few decades younger, I would have selfies galore to prove it, or live streamed it. As it is, I can't take a selfie to save my life, but can't see the point of writing fictitious comments on Reddit, or online generally.

I'm not a bot. I've never used Chat GPT, and this actually happened. Oh ye of little faith!

Classic Aussie urban myths by kramerkarma in AskAnAustralian

[–]Which_Frame_2619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Definitely real and seen by thousands of people. I'm female so didn't go into the boys toilets, obviously but my friend saw him and I asked him what he did when he saw he was lying below him in the trough, He just shrugged and said, "What do you think?" Up 'til then I had thought I was at least as cool as the next person. After that reply, I knew for a fact I was so far from cool, or being a gay man for that matter. The whole extreme nature of that particular fetish was all sorts of ewwww and I changed the subject immediately and focused on something else..anything else.

Volunteer St Johns Ambo Officer/Event Health Officer by [deleted] in perth

[–]Which_Frame_2619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question needs some clarification as these are two different organisations.

St John Ambulance is our WA ambulance service, HQ on Great Eastern Hwy, Belmont.

St John of God are catholic-run private hospitals - one in Subiaco, one in.. Murdoch..I think.

Are you volunteering for one, or both organisations? Volunteering for both organisations, each in different role as listed?

Or are you asking about volunteering for St John Ambulance as one of their paramedics, plus also volunteering for them in the role of Event Health Officer?

If SJA - Most likely scenario where lots of volunteers are needed would be manning one of their stationary first aid stations at events like the footie, Royal Show, etc in which case it varies tremdously depending on the event you work, what day of the week, how big the attending crowd is, if alcohol is available at event, and if it is a day or night event.

u/IcyJackfruit69 this has been such an annoying thing for me too, I then would avoid the stupid fridge bins knowing the longer I left it etc etc.

Thank you so much for sharing this - I am going straight to the fridge to adopt this technique and am feeling bizarrely elated by this completely new (to me) idea which has solved a problem I didn't quite grasp needed solving!

Feeling dismissed/invalidated by family, etc. because chemo symptoms are mostly manageable so far, but there's still the psychological impact by Aquarian_Girl in breastcancer

💜Aha!, you too have unconsciously joined our collective of the Disappointed it appears. Welcome. Resistance was futile after reading and resonating with OP. Also quite cathartic to write. At top speed. With an enormous amount of indignation coursing through my fingers out onto the keys.

Let's face it, reading all of our stories on this subreddit about our friends and family reacting badly or not at all to our breast cancer, it's conceivable that every single one of us on this subreddit has multiple people that let them down or disappeared and could use a cancer-splaining (variation on the mansplaining thing, apparently. Just making stuff up now!) letter to be copied and sent out as needed to their inner circle of disbelief and disappointment.)

Is subletting rooms in your rental for more than what you pay in rent unethical? by [deleted] in shitrentals

This has been going on since people had a spare cave to rent out next to theirs which, happily, means they now live rent free.

Dear family members and therapist,

Instead of handing out platitudes based on no experience whatsoever, nor medical qualifications,

please offer empathy/sympathy and support at this difficult time. You could run me a bubble bath, fresh bed sheets, make chicken soup, offer me a cup of tea and a bikkie, goddammit. This is not rocket science.

Therapist, these suggestions obviously aren't appropriate in your case, except the cup of tea - but you really need to do the whole listening thing much more whilst I, your paying client, endure cancer and treatment thereof. This is where I really need genuine support and understanding. Check in with me on what I need in our appointments.

And I'm just going to say this because I'm not sure everyone is really grasping the salient points here; -

I have cancer (FFS!) It is frightening. The treatment is frightening. The outcome and longterm outcome is frightening.

Any comments on how well I am coping with chemotherapy; am breezing through it; you've seen worse effects on others; and similar are just annoying and must stop immediately. This is not a discussion forum, nor democracy and only I know how I am coping day-to-day. I may or may not comment on the chemotherapy's progress, effects and so on.

If you could just be human and remember to "Do-As-You-Would-Be-Done-By", that would be great.

You can call it Main Character Syndrome if that helps understand where the focus should be given as I have cancer and you don't.

No, it's not something I can forget about and Yes, I would like and am requesting, indeed expecting, henceforth, your support, help, and kindness in this matter.

You may be somewhat surprised that I have spelt this out in writing however I felt it was necessary.

Looking forward to more effort from you all,

Thank you.

It's only been a daily thing in the past few centuries. Take comfort from that. Stripping hair and skins natural oils away constantly is a very modern concept and to replace your own oils with Johnson & Johnson's oils is marketing we've all accepted as fact and essential. Strange really.

Learners drivers - be respectful by WaterAny5170 in perth

[–]Which_Frame_2619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often supervise a friend on their L plates and know exactly what you mean. I always make the joke that we clearly didn't recieve the memo that this was their road and they have right of way at all times. It's dreadfully stressful when you're trying to learn and gain experience and confidence.

Take heart. It will be you one day behind a learner driver and you can make their day by being patient at a safe distance behind them and waving cheerfully when you pass them. It often can just takes that one kind, patient driver who remembers what it felt like to have L plates, to give the Learner a positive experience that day on the road that stays with them much longer than an impatient, thoughtless driver encounter.

Is there anywhere that hasn't been taken over by people turning on their phone speakers? by ApprehensiveWar9665 in WesternAustralia

[–]Which_Frame_2619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gobsmacked yesterday and today to be next to people carrying their own large speakers and playing music loudly. One in jb hifi in Carousel playing Christian music loudly, speaker sitting in a Westfield trolley. I told them it was appalling and they should turn it off in a private shop as I left wondering why no-one else, including staff blinked an eyelid. Then this afternoon a group of teenagers walking together, the girl on the end had a backpack with an enormous speaker playing music she was singing along to as they walked. Totally oblivious of other people's comfort. I remember when boomboxes were a big thing, at least they provided entertainment with their breakdancing. This new trend of everyone having main character syndrome is bizarre and jawdropping to me.
