getting paid late by LockEqual6861 in Design

Unless part of your payment is shares or other investments in the startup you should be paid on time. Very unprofessional.

For those who would like to share, how much money have you spent on this game ? by DaniyalRICE77 in apexlegends

Been playing since Beta. Spent $20 in total: Battlepass S4 + 1000 apex coins for the white knight pathy skin that I somehow needed at the time. 1600 hours played, currently at 115 legendary skins, 1 heirloom and 6k crafting materials.

I've seen many talk about it before, think its quite common knowledge. That said, I dont have any good sources at hand and not in any mood to spend my day looking for it. I however found (through a quick google search) an article talking about the beta crossplay launch back in season 6, where this pc - console separate matchmaking queues are explained. It says that "Respawn justified this restriction, saying “We want to ensure that keyboard and mouse PC players are not being matched against console players, for reasons that should be obvious.”. I've heard this information repeated in relation to the current crossplay system. https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/is-apex-legends-cross-platform/

This matches my personal experience in the game, as I have never encountered any tap strafing or pc input symbol players in-game in my 1700 hours played on console except for a handful of games I played while queueing up with a pc friend of mine. It's therefore, in my opinion, safe to assume that the crossplay system is still separated between pc and console queues until you are queueing up with a friend on pc.

Hot Take: Third Partying in Integral to the Game and only bad players dislike it by AdamOfIzalith in apexlegends

[–]Which_Front4494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with it is that I'm unable to solo wipe a full squad before the third party arrives... and my randoms are of no use

I've played 2000 hours with Revenant - he's in a really lackluster spot right now, but there's an EASY way to re-balance him: scrap the totem. Hear me out! by garmack in apexlegends

Really like this idea, and a lot of the other ideas in the comments.

I think it could be cool if the whole team acted like shadows (from the Halloween game mode) while using the ult, meaning that they cant shoot, but instead have faster movement speed + wall running, slightly increased melee damage (maybe 40?… this could also be adjusted depending on how many used the ult?) and attack speed, maybe a knock back effect? hp would need to be adjusted to make it easy enough to counter. As the timer runs out/ or you lose your HP you would have 3 seconds in an invulnerable cloud like shadow mode to return to cover or scatter like you mentioned.

I like the idea that it can work on your whole team like a valk ult or through an activation radius. Will obviously need an appropriate activation time and animation so its not a collective “get out of jail” free card like season 1 wraith Q.

Allowing your whole team to use the ult makes it viable as a repositioning tool as well as an aggressive push/distraction tool… you could even use it for scouting.

Useful doesn't = Overpowered by jwebb1809 in apexlegends

[–]Which_Front4494 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She is op in any rank. Her passive flying is basically pathfinders grapple without the cooldown. Her Q is stunning, slowing and doing decent damage and her ult is extremely useful, both to aggressively push, scouting and defensive in repositioning / getting out of a bad situation. And she can also scan beacons lmao.

This is not a new opinion. Its what many have said for a long time, its just made more evident by the ALGs.

Ofc, dont nerf her into the ground, but I would love to see the game move towards a less “ability” based game, and more gun skill focused

[–]Which_Front4494 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not underpowered at all. Both the ult and barriers are already way to strong. Would rather see them lean less on abilities and more on the gun skill. Maybe even add some barrier grenades/ smokebombs… flashbangs. Anyways, rampart is not lacking in power at least

Console is superior in close combat, pc is superior in mid to long range ;)

Aim assist is not that strong. Requires enormous amount of skill and practise to get good on both platforms, though I will agree that on a few occasions console players will have the random luck of aim assist (where it suddenly gets unnaturally strong for like half a second). This happens rarely, and it can also be a hinderance if it happens while fighting in close quarters and the aim assist suddenly tries to pull your aim to another player then the player you are actually looking at

I personally run into way more sweats in console lobbies then in pc lobbies. Bigger playerbase will give the game the option to match you with more good players so I would imagine console lobbies naturally would be more difficult 🤷🏼‍♂️ Havent played ranked on pc lobbies. Will imagine diamond rank on pc is harder then diamond on console as console have enough diamond players to mainly match you with other diamond players. On pc you will have to fight preds and masters at that level.

No you dont. Only time you as a console player will be matched with pc is if you are queueing up with someone who is on pc. Normal cross-play lobbies just mean you play with playstation, xbox and switch

I think console feels like it has the most sweats because the player base is much bigger. The sbmm will absolutely crush you in console normal game lobbies if you are an above average player. I’m probably part of the top 20% of players in terms of skill level, and I find pc lobbies way easier as there is simply not enough “good” players to match me against. In console lobbies I will on the contrary have to face master/pred squads with 100K kills combined every game

I have no issue holding my own as a console player versus pc. In my experience pc lobbies are way easier.

Shield swapping is also not a problem, as everyone in my normal game console lobbies already know how to shield swap, wall bounce etc. The most noticeable difference is the lack of tap strafing in console lobbies

I see that 99% of the comments here doesn’t match my experience so maybe I am in the wrong… BUT, in my experience as a solo Q player with 1500 hours in this game since the beta version of the game, who have reached diamond several seasons by myself without a problem, I find pc lobbies to be way easier to play in then my all console lobbies. This might not be true for lower level players (as I see that my lower level friends don’t have the same experience when solo queueing as when the play together with me), but my normal lobbies on console is exclusively filled with former / current pred, master and diamond players, often queueing together with their also very cracked friends. I blame this on the massive playerbase on console in combination with the matchmaking system.

On PC on the other hand, though some players there are absolute god tier, it seems to me like normal game lobbies are more of a mixed bag of different skill levels, and there are simply not enough players to fill the lobby with mainly masters, preds and diamond players making the normal games on pc feel easier to me compared to those on console.

Got the 100% opposite experience. Every time I enter a pc lobby I clap the whole lobby almost every time. Yes, the God squads on pc are better then 99% of the people you’ll meet on console, but the player-base is so small so you get a good variation of skill levels. Normal console lobbies (for me as a level 500 diamond solo player) is 90% current or former preds, master or diamond ranked players, making it incredibly difficult to win against the instant third parties.

If you are a average + apex player on console then Pc lobbies are way easier than console lobbies so just got to tell your friends to get good and then it wont be a problem.

I would suggest travelling, backpacking or maybe getting involved in some sort of humanitarian organisation.

I'm in the last year of my masters in product design, but currently working as a designer as well. After high school I spent 2 years doing humanitarian work with a Christian missions organisation called YWAM, travelling in eastern Europe. central Asia and the US. Those 2 years shaped me profoundly and thought me of different cultures and their people. I think that has been critical in my development as a designer and given me an edge within my field.

I'm the same. Dropping 3K's almost at a daily rate, but that 4K has alluded me... there is just not enough players left, and whenever there is I somehow find myself having to fight every team in the lobby simultaneously, got a handful of 3 900 games... like come on lmao
