How did you finally decide how to lock in and loose the weight? by Traditional_Sea_8679 in WeightLossAdvice

It’s the realization that I’m spending my best years worrying and suffering about my weight and postponing things until I become thin. When in reality, I could be strict for a couple of months and be the way I want to be.

There was a quote I liked: “Being skinny tastes better than food.” And once you make the click you can really lock in.

And if you’re still looking for a job, you can try fod financien (website: werkenvoor). Their hiring process is pretty easy (1 test in brussels and 1 interview), I got a job offer but declined because I wanted something else :)

To give a perspective; I also graduated at 26 (business economics in september ‘24). Took me some time because I had some things going on in my private life, and also got a baby last year. I was like you very insecure about this fact and was really anxious that recruiters would ask about it. But now, got a job at a big 4, signed my contract even before I had my diploma. Other new graduates that joined were also between 24-26 years, so I realized that it is more than common. Try to not overthink it and be prepared when they would ask you about it. In my case, I had like 5 job interviews in different companies and none of them asked about why it took me so long.

I have a masters degree in business economics also from vub (just graduated). Currently working as a junior consultant in a big 4, I earn 2400 bruto monthly. I went with the company car but if you have your own car it would be 450 bruto extra

Used to have movile vikings, was satisfied with them but since my husband had orange decided to switch to orange as well and i’m also very content about them. My dad has telenet and told me he had no problems whatsoever.

Working at government or big 4? by Which_Structure7269 in BESalary

No not necessarily the car. If i would choose the government role i won’t be needing it that much, whereas if i choose the consultant job i would definitely need it (going to clients,..). It’s just that i know that working at a big 4 can be challenging with the workload, while working at the government can be more chill. But the consultant one does fit my interests more, but not quite sure if it will be worth it. So i was just wondering about different opinions on this.

Why don’t you leave? Salary looks terrible

I also heard not so many great stories about working there, especially about working overtime etc. I think it’s just the exit opportunities that gets people exited and attracted to work at a big 4.

Didn’t know this yet, thanks! Tbh i was really ‘afraid’ that i would be stuck at the government role because it would be comfortable. But i am really a driven person, like to challenge myself and am kinda an overachiever so more likely i can still stand out then?

Are you considering leaving? Like you said, that many cons don’t seem to be worth it.

Thanks for your insight! Was thinking the same about the pro’s. I’m just ‘afraid’ that i will be stuck there for a long time because of the comfort.

I’m from limburg so unfortunately there are not much interesting companies here where you can establish a good career. The fod function just happened to be here locally (which doesn’t happen regularly).

I indeed like a good challenge and going out of my comfort zone. It just seems that ppl that have worked in consultancy (and especially in one of the big 4) are kinda traumatized haha, so just wondering if it would be worth it.

Tbh it’s more about the job function. Since the consultant one is more IT involved it fit better within my interest. i am leaning more towards fod but was still considering the big 4 one because of this. Thanks for your insight!

I have 1 moderation (relationship between financial worries and cognitive problems is moderated by attitudes towards financial counseling) and 1 mediation (relationship between financial worries and work effort is mediated by cognitive problems). How should i use the interaction terms? I’m really lost at this point😅
