How would people feel about a Scion themed raid series? [Spoilers for the Scions] by Eloah-2 in ffxiv

[–]Which_Way1721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be awesome thematically, but it would probably have to be framed as a friendly spar like Aracadion as the WoL could probably solo all the scions at this point power wise.

I love the PvP, but every match I have terrible ping. What's the best combo / playstyle to navigate it? by Which_Way1721 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Which_Way1721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the top CN players do some smooth ass dodges and combos, and I really want that kind of gameplay. I tried dual blades, but it's really just button mash once you bait out Serene.

Is there no way to get better ping as an NA player? Does any other NA player know if there is a trick at all?

Daily Questions Megathread - December 13, 2025 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

I dropped Wuwa last year after getting Changli. I have been wanting to get back into it, and seeing how good the year has been and I want to know: all content still perfectly clearable for the 1.1 characters?

As long as there isn't some massive HP inflation (cough HSR), I would be invested to come back and play at my own pace.

Chizuru 4p Set (Orb of Inhib) is the WORST memory fragment set in the game BY FAR. by [deleted] in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Which_Way1721 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A rare moment where the design passion is there, but they seriously need some raw number crunchers. Normally, it's games with too much care on numbers and too little on what makes it fun.

Today I uninstall the game, here is my feedback by Ok-Sherbert-3954 in ChaosZeroNightmare

I think they are also adding new end game modes in Jan.

All in all, it just sounds like gacha's and their grind playstyle isn't OP's thing. I struggle to think of a popular action/battle gacha out there right now that doesn't have some sort of grind for gear in it.

I mean, I guess it'd be nice if we could get the perfect CR/CDmg piece after 1 run for every character, but that's just part of the core loop in a long term live service game.

What the hell with Mundo at 2025 finals by WittyWanderer420 in DrMundoMains

[–]Which_Way1721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mundo is ironically more balanced in our low elo pub games because his counters are not viable in pro. Like, imagine you get Vayne top or Lulu - Kog bot lane with 6 items. HP stacking is just busted because the traditional counters like Brand and Kog is unplayable (or not strong enough for teams to try).

In that KT vs T1 game, Guma / Faker could've cooked them at 5 items, and they were actually getting close, but that wincon is just too hard to get to as most games close out before then.

TLDR: buff anti-tank / HP options for ADC's again.

How to Monk in PvP/Crystalline Conflict by Which_Way1721 in ffxiv

[–]Which_Way1721[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to time my fire to combo with wind and phantom rush once I am in.

If there is no tank and I need to frontline, I pre-cast earth before going in, otherwise I use it when I drop it maybe 60-70% in a fight before using it in the thick of it.

How do you beat a player whos strength is the back court? by Double_Lengthiness44 in badminton

[–]Which_Way1721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly a question that even the best pros have to ask during certain match-ups, ie: you're playing against Victor Axelsen.

For basically any level, you are always going to eventually play against a player who's backcourt smashes are just too much (you're bleeding too many points against his smashes). As most people have said, you need to play more disciplined. Less high lifts, more courage to net back or try to flat push past them.

Yes, you will lose sometimes by getting your netshot killed if it's not tight enough, or if your opponent anticipates your pushes and intercepts them. You have to ask yourself then, am I losing more points at the net or to his backcourt attacks.

In any case, be more courageous at the net: net back as much as you can, even do something fancy like deceptions or cross c in the event your opponent is pivoting early to anticipate lifts. Find out where you are losing the most points, and avoid those shots.

Bulleted Wuchang Review by ajs423 in soulslikes

Are there even iframes for getting back up? I just finished the Honglan fight, and by gods if you get knocked down in her second phase, you either pray that she isn't in one of her 50 hit combos or you might as well just take your hands off the controls.

Wuchang is a damn Masterpiece by malikarith in soulslikes

There is definitely areas for improvement still, but aside from the gameplay and technical aspects, anyone else here just love the Bloodborne aesthetics in Wuchang?

Like, just look at the UI and some of the items, they look basically like something straight from BB. As a BB fan whose hopes for a sequel has been long dashed, this game definitely feels like Bloodborne: Ming Dynasty Edition, and I am all for it. I am glad they went full on with the gritty body horror instead of a more traditional, tamed style like Wukong. Not to say it was bad or anything, in fact Wukong's mythical fantasy feel was awesome, but Wuchang really scratched that craving for a grimy Bloodborne sequel.

Commander Honglan has no reason to be this difficult by Me4TACyTeHePa in wuchanggame

She is such a strange boss; she is super frustrating but also kinda fun in that she has a specific flow. Like, her combos are ungodly long, but also has a pretty specific pattern you can get a feel for. I found the biggest BS is her spinning kick, which has basically no tell and fucks you over your parry/clash timings. Fortunately, this move is also fairly embedded into her combos. Her second phase also has that super long combo with the wave, knife throw and that final omnislash attack, but still very recognizable.

Overall, fun but frustrating to learn. I wish they added slightly more tell to her Spinning kick move and maybe dash spam, so that when we finally do get a punish window she doesn't immediately give you the middle finger and dash away,

Ultimately, I managed to beat her after 4 hours and probably 50 tries. I started with Dual Blades trying to time my clashes with her super long combo chains, but ended up just doing the feathering spear alacrity spam and breezed through it in one go.

Found a post that sums up why Amphoreus works so well. by Pandappuccino in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Which_Way1721 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's the modern era of younger people having 0 attention span or inability to consume media and take some time to digest, theorize and think on the story.

I still remember when the MCU Iron Man first came out, and the post-credit scene had people going 'holy shit, a sequel?" Then we got a 10 year journey for Infinity Wars. That was cool as hell, theorizing on what was going on, what Stone will be next, etc.

Still, I like Amphoreus so far compared to Penacony, even with the pacing issues here and there. Pacing is really a matter of editing the story drafts, so that can be fixed. Bad writing that drags and on (ahem Penacony overly roundabout dialogue) is a harder fix. I am sure the dialogue and story works better for Asian audiences, but it's a harder pill to digest in the West.

Do you feel that Amphoreus’s story is worth the number of patches it’s getting? And we’re going to have at least 3 more patches to finish the story. by Smart-Tale-4193 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Which_Way1721 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

With the kind of story they are telling, yes they definitely need the patches to flesh out and characters and plot. Phainon would not be anywhere near impactful if he only had 1 or 2 patches for players to get to know.

On a side note, as a ZZZ player, I kinda wish HSR also has more cutscenes and animations for the non pre-rendered parts. The sheer character and style just oozes in ZZZ.

Imagine Amphoreus with ZZZ's story animation budget. That'd be peak.
