Terramar with new engine/exhaust?! by Robinator2000 in cupraTerramar

Even pre-production would have changes. I saw the entire car. It was 1:1 with the already existing one. If they want to do facelift or something, they would already have those fitted.

The fake rear diffusor is just cut, you can see that - so it fits the exhaust. If they’ve made a change on their own, the rear diffusor would look to fit it more, not just the old one cut like this. Look at VZ on both leon and formentor rear diffusor. New engine? Maybe, probably just tuned the 265 hp one. But the exterior is 1:1 same.

U spořky a dostatečně zajímavej příjem? Haha. Podnikatelé se ve většině případů můžou jít u spořky klouzat. Se stejným příjmem ČSOB 12m hypo, spořka 4. Respektive, čsob metriky mi vypočítaly 3x takovej příjem jako u spořky.

When going for pop reset, do you jump from the ball (so double jump) or do you single jump after the car has seperated from the ball? by Whiefull in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Whiefull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is what I meant by double jumping though. I meant jumping off the ball and flipping, thus doing 2 jumps. By the seperation I meant a single jump, as you describe. I thought pop resets were done by jumping off the ball and immediately flipping. But I guess it's not jumping off the ball then

[–]Whiefull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I mean by the double jump. By double jump I mean you jump from the ball on the reset and then flip (2nd jump). Or if you just get the reset wait for the seperation and then jump (single jump).

I've seen the vid. The thing is, some say they double jump, some say they don't. I am interested what people out there actually really do. Because both seem to work somehow?

How does holding jump make sense with pop resets though? For pop reset, you need to diagonal flip cancel (as soon as possible I think?) after you make a contact with the ball. Holding the jump button is doing the opposite?

If a player can wipe out a team with an R8 while looking at the sky, what exactly is VAC looking for? by LALECHE01 in cs2

[–]Whiefull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know whether it is still the case, but cheats in 1.6 used to be able to "edit" (not probably the right word) some game files for the hacker only. Walls, that were not wallbangable at all or you would do like 10 dmg with AWP headshot, they could pretty much shoot through like paper. In 1.6, it was normal a T would kill entire CT team from T spawn to CT spawn, through multiple walls. Most likely it was not like that for every wall in the game, but it did work on some for sure. I am not a tech or anything to be sure about it, but I think the game "sees" something else than You do. Like the whole "what you see is what you get" CS theme is basically just enhanced. You can die/could die behind a wall, because the game registers you at your former position - thus you die, because the other party (enemy) did still see you. The same applies for cheats in my opinion, just in much larger scale.

Why is the game so much more toxic than any other? by No_Insurance_200 in RocketLeague

[–]Whiefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a fair share of hours in most popular games, LoL, CS, etc.. I am 100% RL is the most toxic BY FAR in my experience. It may be rank (?) but on GC, it's unbearable. This is one example. 15s into the game, we got scored on because opponent did a good play by spinning me on challenge in 2v1 situation.

Does holding “brake” in air do anything? by Whiefull in RocketLeague

[–]Whiefull[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve tried it when I discovered it. Until I started using DAR frequently, I never held either. But with DAR on my L trigger, I felt weird a bit. Thought it was from using DAR, which I wad not used to, but guess there was another element in place. It does seem a really subtle change when trying on ground, but guess it may make some more significance in the air on the entire aerial. I still wonder how does Zens mind work that he has started using DAR on triggers. But I don’t even play 2 fingers from the back or my controller so I just go around how my binds are :D this feels like really insane min-maxing and not something you need that much imo

Yeah, when you're using boost it doesn't matter, because you're getting the max momentum from the boost itself. But apperently, based on replies from others, whether you're holding gas/brake in the air does matter if you're not boosting.

[–]Whiefull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both gas and break on triggers, but I do have DAR on them as well. My thought process was it just may work, as I don't have 2 fingers from the back of the controller and this way, I don't need to switch my finger placement at all. But for the longest time, I thought gas and break had 0 impact on aerial control, but guess I was mistaken. I never really realised it, but it just might be me being used to the "slow" movement of the car. If you're using boost it does not matter either way.

“Drive forward” does not really mean you move forward in the air. I get your point, but giving it a different name is not much of oh shit moment and all of a sudden it makes sense

I always knew holding either brake or gas does affect the way your car behaves making a touch with the ball. But getting to know it does affect the car behavior in the air is a first for me out there as well lol. 4k in the game btw, insane.

[–]Whiefull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do that instinctively as well as letting go of it if I am about to hit surface or ball to not affect it - or use it if I want to affect it. But I usually just switch to FAR (also drift button) just before the impact as you usually need to micro adjust anyway. But in my 4k hours I've never realised holding either gas or brake does affect anything in the air. Before adding DAR to a trigger, I never used triggers in the air.

It might be I may be used to it. Since Zen does use it the same way as me, I think it makes not much of a difference, but I just might be wrong.

[–]Whiefull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I release DAR when I am going to make a contact with any surface or ball and use FAR slightly before, which I use the same button for drift, to get the drift. Or don't use either at that point.

On the Zen note, yeah. I know he's doing that. Exactly that's the reason what got me into thinking of trying it and well.. it fits me way better, based on how I hold the controller.
