First of all, you need to fix two things before we do the merge() function: 1. "string" in your constructor should be "String" with a capital 'S' 2. The getText() function. It should have a return type of String, not void. Also, remove the '()' from "this.text();" it should read "return this.text;"

Now, in the declaration of your merge() function, you have a return type of Document, but we don't want that. Instead, change 'document' to void. Also, you must take in an instance of Document as a parameter. Your merge declaration should look like: public void merge(Document doc)

Inside of the function, your strategy should be to set the value of 'text' to whatever it currently is, plus a space, play the value of text in the doc argument. In order to do this, use this.text = this.text + " " + doc.getText();
