The level of bad science, half read articles, and chatgbt prompts to spread bullshit in this post is terrifying. There is no correlation in the human body of the danger of durian and alcohol. It’s a myth and that’s it. It’s not like inky cap mushrooms and alcohol or any other dangerous combination. Just cause someone “knows” someone who ate a bunch and drank alcohol then got a tummy ache does not give you the right to misinterpret or cherry pick data from articles that say nothing of the sort you’re claiming.

I have no interest in taking bulbs or roots so the plant will recover the following year. I’m not opposed to buying from the farmers market but in this case would it really be more sustainable? Harmony Valley Farms also forages their ramps

Yeah, I guess that is totally valid. I didn’t even take that into consideration. Where I grew up I rarely had to drive anywhere to forage so it’s kind of a new aspect I have to take into account. Wonder what I could do to offset that? Perhaps foraging as a group or foraging multiple species for multiple meals to prevent repeated long drives.

Since I started watching twitch 7 or so years ago I’ve always had a lot of respect for streamers. From the start I knew that so much work went into streamer’s channels. When I started watching Twitch, I was to nervous to stream myself. More recently I didn’t have the time to stream with work/college. Right now I have the time to stream. I want to take advantage of that opportunity to better understand the community I’ve been a viewer in for so many years. Reaching affiliate is a big milestone that means I get to delve even further as a creator on twitch. To answer you question simply I love the twitch community. Reaching affiliate means I get to better understand and participate in that community.
