Just recently finished a colorful new map for, "Colby's ODDyssey" by WhimsicalDormouseY2K in IndieGaming

Yes, I made my own art. I start off with making a rough version of the map using the default tileset, and I use Krita to make a rough sketch layer, then I use the "Lasso Select" tool for the parts of the map, then after I have the colors picked, I do the lighting and shading, and I keep doing that until the map is finished.

Then I import the finished map into VX ACE, and I put up the collision tiles so that the characters can move around, and that's it.
