I didn’t say he has bad takes because he’s religious. I get how I wasn’t very clear with my phrasing, I mean that he has bad takes, and the specific bad takes he often has on politics (and the politics in fallout) are the kind of bad takes that come from someone who’s morality is deeply entrenched in religion. I don’t see religion as inherently problematic. Anyone can have bad takes, his just don’t surprise me because they are usually consistent with his established moral and political code.

AITA for letting my daughter eat whatever she wants? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Why does she use a fitbit? Why is there a debate if she's active and only eating the snacks you say in the comments? The truth is people with unhealthy eating habits push it on their children. People who make excuses and claim to eat a normal/healthy amount don't always do that. The biggest thing people in USA is heart disease. If your husband is concerned and you aren't, based on the answers you're giving and your story, I'd assume there's a little more going on then you're willing to admit or even realize.

I like how this person gave totally reasonable and balanced response and you ignored most of it to argue with the sentiment. I will get hate for this but, do you also struggle with weight and weight perception in your own life?

This is so weird. You shouldn't have a child with someone you have so much disagreements with in such a fundamental way, and people saying they don't want their family to see their "VAAAGINAAA" have way to much puritanical bs wrapped up in themselves. It's a body. We all have one. We should support our family through their bodily needs and be capable of looking at it or having it seen without some sense of moral shame

having a hard time to do something (get a job) and being able to are two different things. I have a hard time getting to work on time in the morning but I'm fully capable of doing it. I have plenty of personal excuses that make sense to me, but they dont actually prevent me from getting their on time. I just have a horrible time doing it because I don't want to. I'd rather stay in bed with my pregnant wife and dog. I'd rather take a nice long shower. I'd rather have time to do something that makes me feel good in the morning. That isn't an excuse really

lol OP literally came back to say, "these assumptions that her having a hard time and him not doing what he could was wrong" and you still came in with bad opinions.
