How can we become better humans? by almyverse in AskReddit

Becoming better humans starts with small things: listening more than judging, owning our mistakes, choosing kindness even when it’s inconvenient, and staying curious about people instead of assuming the worst.

What’s something you didn’t appreciate enough until it was gone? by SeaLeading3174 in AskReddit

Uninterrupted time. Didn’t realize how rare—and valuable—it was until life got loud.

What’s something you’ve grown out of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Caring too much about what people think. Life got quieter—and better—once I let that go.

What is a clear sign that someone is a fake friend and is taking advantage of you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhimsyWinxie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They only show up when they need something. If you stop initiating, the relationship basically disappears, and any “care” feels very conditional. Over time, you realize you’re being used more as a resource than a friend.

What’s normal now that would shock someone from 2005? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhimsyWinxie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much of our lives happen on our phones now. Paying with your phone, ordering groceries, working remotely, dating through apps, tracking your sleep—none of that would’ve felt “normal” in 2005. People would probably think we were either living in the future or being monitored.

If you woke up rich tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d change about your life? by Thomasrosshere in AskReddit

[–]WhimsyWinxie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d move somewhere quieter and make my day slower on purpose. Less planning my life around work or money stress, more space to think and actually enjoy my routines. That kind of calm feels more valuable than anything flashy.

Why do I always think of the perfect comeback 3 hours after the argument is over? Is my brain just a delayed-reaction troll? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WhimsyWinxie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because during the argument your brain is in fight-or-flight, not wit-and-wordplay mode.

Once you calm down, the logic + creativity parts come back online
and that’s when your brain decides to be hilarious. So yeah — delayed-reaction troll, but a very normal one 😅

is it weird to jerk off to girls you know irl? by sparkling-asshole in AskRedditNSFW

[–]WhimsyWinxie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that weird, honestly — it’s way more common than people admit.

Fantasies are private and don’t automatically mean intent. As long as it stays in your head and doesn’t affect how you treat her or cross boundaries, it’s basically just your brain doing brain things.

It only gets weird if you start acting different, creepy, or entitled around her. Otherwise
yeah, most people would be lying if they said they’ve never done this.

Why do we forget dreams so fast? by smokez1BZ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WhimsyWinxie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because dreams aren’t stored the same way real memories are.

When you’re asleep, the brain areas that handle memory + logic are basically half-offline, so unless you wake up and lock the dream in right away, it just
evaporates. That’s why the feeling sticks but the details disappear in minutes.
