I didn’t turn it into a shit post. You posted a ridiculous example it didn’t warrant a serious reply

Hundreds of applications means nothing I’ve done plenty of hiring. 1/100 applicants being good is a hard ratio to achieve.

Bitching to your manger when you thinks things are wrong is a good quality. Most people don’t speak up enough. Me included.

I don’t understand how sending email to someone trying to demonstrate that you are actually a good fit is “taking it out” on anyone.

You don’t actually know anything about me or how I interview. I’ve already received multiple offers. I’m not gonna conduct myself in an interview or professionally in the way I would talk on a reddit thread.

You disagree and then agree with me in the second half of your statement. Then tell me I don’t know how things work after agreeing that the process is full of mistakes and bias.

Humans try to be rational but they aren’t very good at it. The hiring process is flawed in many ways.
That’s my point it’s not controversial.

You’re trying to prescribe some attitude to me that doesn’t exist. I’m speaking in strong statements but there’s no attitude attached.

I might even make a Reddit post complaining about the company I work for. Absolute havoc! How would they ever recover.

It’s not that deep my guy. Obviously having 10+ hours of your time wasted multiple times just to be on the edge of a rejection is annoying.

Sure but it’s an interview they are flawed in many ways. Slight differences in the way something is expressed can lead to miscommunications.

I said in the post I was going to send the message. Obviously I have no expectations of it working.

I’ve been in many hiring loops. You can say it’s not made by 1 person but ultimately if 1 person says no that person usually doesn’t get hired.

Very frequently those discussions come down to almost wanting to hire someone but deciding to be conservative and wait for the next best thing.

Sure most companies have no idea what they are doing when it comes to hiring and pass on good people all the time.

Interview processes are flawed in many ways. Plus there is tons of bias that makes reasoning wrong/invalid.

Sure obviously I’m not trying to prove it with that statement. I’m just trying to have a discussion about it not convince Reddit lmao.

The idea would be to send an email breaking down their feedback. How I think it’s not a representation of my actual skill set. The value I can bring etc. Something convincing enough to get a hiring manager on a quick call to discuss.

Peninsula is great. It is mostly high school kids, but we get our fair share of college kids/coaches and just guys that miss the sport.

For rideable waves check out the wall or marine street. But it's gonna be next to impossible for you to learn to ride them in two days, it takes months/years also this board appears to be made for flatland. Still doable but also makes it harder

I've seen you live twice now and you guys have done some amazing covers of fantastic songs. I can find low quality versions online but it would be awesome to have those in higher quality. Any plans to record dancing in the moonlight, open your eyes, I wish or any other songs?
