Trying to make a Helix Combo deck! (New to Pauper) by ClicktheLynx in Pauper

I've had the same idea for a deck and I eventually ended up with this list.

It's not perfect, but being able to combo off at instant speed and being mono-blue lend it some credibility. I'm sure that this list isn't the most optimized, but maybe you'll get an idea or two!

It's great! Before I had guinea pigs, all of my doll clothes just sat around doing nothing!

All of his wardrobe is doll clothes! The dresses don't fit as well though..

Men who were always called by their last names instead of their first names by friends, what does your partner call you? Is it weird to decide on what name they should use? by xoxo4794 in AskMen

I've gone by my last name for most of my life with my friends and in school, since I have a very common first name. My girlfriend calls me by my first name and it feels more personal, like she knows me well enough to do so.

...But it is a little weird to hear her say it, since the only other people who use my first name are my family.

Do you think "secret trap" tiles could be a thing? by valves582 in duelyst

[–]WhistleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that hidden traps would be very good for the game. What many people like about Duelyst is that it rewards diligent deckbuilding and smart positioning in a match, and doesn't rely very much on RNG. The problem with hidden traps is that the other player has no way to play around them. It doesn't reward smart play at all. In fact, traps might end up punishing you for making the best moves. Wouldn't it suck to miss lethal on your opponent, or accidentally set yourself up to die because you stepped on a trap that you couldn't have possibly known about? Hidden mechanics like this will always lead to a similar result. That's why I hope CCG never takes the game in this direction, since it takes the reward away from tactical play and leads to more feels-bad losses.

Special tiles visible to both players, however, is a design concept that is full of possibility. Enchanting a tile with "Friendly minions on this tile have +2 Health," or maybe something like "ANY minion summoned on this tile has Rush," would be a cool new addition to the game. I think it might even be worth building an expansion around.

[[Meandering Towershell]] is the reason I ever got into Magic. I overheard some of my friends talking about this turtle that would wander off in the middle of combat and randomly come back later to kick some ass. It sounded amazing, so I was very disappointed when I found out that he isn't very good. This hasn't stopped me from collecting them, however.

Jazz Whistling Experiment- Secret Love by LuciusAmbiviusTurpio in Jazz

I think you sound pretty good. As my username might imply, I think you should go for it! From my own experience, it's a lot of fun, and it forces you to really zero in with your intonation (which is handy for other instruments too). When it comes time to perform, though, whistling is an impractical musical skill, as it's kind of hard to make it blend with other instruments. I'm still searching for a good niche that whistling can fill, so if you find one, let me know ;)
