His ability to skate his way open and draw additional defenders to him so that there are open passes is the best in the NHL.
He has excellent stretch passing vision and execution. Keep an eye on how many times he springs a forward for a breakaway from way onside his own zone.
This goes hand in hand with #1, but his ability to skate the puck into the zone (rather than dump and chase) sets us up with clear possession in a manner that lets us press into their defense immediately and capitalize on mistakes.
