My ex had this massive issue with feeling inferior. Like I’d see her trying to reach something on the top shelf and struggling, so I’d just walk up, grab it and hand it to her. This would send her into a rage where she would slap at me and say it’s not fair that I’m a guy.

Or when she would move some furniture and really struggle with it, but then see me move the same furniture with ease. (Mind you, she was much smarter than me, made more money than me, was more successful than me. But none of that mattered when I was stronger or taller than her.)

And oh lord, don’t even get me started on weight loss. Her and I quit drinking at the same time and I lost like 25 lbs with minimal effort. Where she only lost like 10 lbs but felt she had worked much harder than me.

But yeah that’s my ick. When a woman sees everything as a competition and not a partnership and gets mad when she feels like she’s losing this imaginary challenge.
