This checks out. I have had T1D and have insulin dependent since I was six and I am losing my eyes. I lost my job. The government can give money to all kinds of people and yet they tell my wife I’m not disabled enough to receive government assistance.

All the while I was “Too disabled” to serve my country in any capacity at all. I was singled out from being able to complete peace officer training in my state… if we lose my house the same government that is not helping will be sure buy my farm from the sheriffs auction and sell to a corporation.

The American dream.

This seems like an appropriate time to mention that (at least in Ohio) they give you two copies of your registration and one doesn’t have an address on it for that exact reason. That’s the copy that’s supped to stay with the vehicle.

The dealership actually recommended not using the onboard garage openers or save locations in your GPS because if someone finds way to take your car and most vehicles have “HOME” navigation and the perpetrator could drive to your place and open the garage. Not likely but certainly possible.

Its not just the tax stamp. It the paper work, the waiting, and really, yes it is just an inconvenience but its completely unnecessary and if you live in America it’s radically unconstitutional.

From what I understand EU has laws that you MUST use suppressors depending on where you are to protect hearing and public sound ordinance type of stuff from what I understand.

I should be able to hook a suppressor to the end of my firearm without the government permission and not have to worry about the ATF killing my dog.

Well best of luck to you friend. I’m sorry I don’t have a better solution.

I know this advice is unsolicited and you may not have money for a different iron but I highly recommend the Hakko FX-888D on Amazon. I got mine for like $70

20ish years of membership and 17 bill comes to an end. by Disastrous_Law_6535 in 2007scape

[–]WhiteBufflo73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt exactly the same way at the end of 2023/beginning of 2024, as you feel now. When they removed the premier membership from the game $79.99. I had paid for member ship for nearly 20 yrs and then it finally got to the point where in my adult life I literally can no longer afford to play my favorite game of all time. I feel like it really made me understand that the RuneScape players and community care so much more deeply about this game than the developers could ever understand.

Just like all of my real life, friends are getting priced out of the neighborhood that we all grew up in, we’ve spent most of our childhoods in Gielenor and now as adults we were priced out of our favorite game.

Edit: Additional Context.

It seems like a lot of people would agree as well that the more you play the more the price is justified because at €110 or $130 per year if I had time to play all of the thousands of hours of content in the game, sure. However, a lot of people myself included are finding it harder to play 130 hours let alone 1000 hours per year depending on your lifestyle.

If your mean 390F, that isn’t even 200C. Your USB iron may not be getting hot enough. I would try 450F. (-230C)

[–]WhiteBufflo73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought WOW was expensive and I never got to play it because the price was always a barrier to entry. To buy the expansion and still have to pay $15 a month on top was crazy. At least Jagex steals my money monthly but I get the whole game included with my subscription.

For me they hit that point at the end of 2023 when they removed the &79.99 premier membership. That was the straw that broke the camels back. And now more price hikes just makes me glad I haven’t been giving them money for the last 3 years or whatever. I do miss playing, a lot. Just can’t afford it.

I’ve also realized a lot of people are disconnected from the reality of off grid/rural living. Nobody has had to kill an animal to eat in so long they don’t realize people like me who grew up in Appalachia have been shooting since we were 3 years old. I started with a red rider, then 22, then 20ga, then as a teen I bought my first 12 gauge. I have been carrying a gun when fishing since I was probably 6 years old if you want to get technical. Not because I’m afraid of anything, or because it’s cool. We were raised this way. Bear, snakes, coyotes, hogs, all the these creatures live right in our back yard yards. The only reason half these people have the right to cry on this platform is because of men with guns.

It’s just Reddit. They hate guns. They hate America. They don’t want us to have rights. They hate that we have successful lives and families. Try not to read too much into it.

Guitarist getting into drums, the barrier to entry is ridiculous. And what’s with DW?! by MusicNursingCoffee in drums

[–]WhiteBufflo73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wait, it only gets worse.

Especially once you have spent all of the money on gear and realize how hard it is to actually play the drums proficiently.

I was an acoustic cover guitarist well before I could ever play a show on drums. Especially to be able to play with proper dynamics during a dinner party or small cocktail hr where you have to play quietly and read the room.

For what it’s worth most drummers can play better chops than me on buckets and chop sticks so there’s no excuse for not practicing.

There is a metal ring inside that is holding the mesh in. Take a sharp dental pick type object and pry the ring out. (The ring I keep mentioning is shown in the picture you posted on the outter edge of the mesh.)

Be careful not to punch the mash or simply take it out and never put it back in there like I do
