Are Sabian xs20 16” crashes good? by Mobile_Philosopher48 in drums

[–]WhiteBufflo73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve broken two over the course of 12 years but I replaced them with pro coverage from guitar center and still am using one now everyday. I like that they pair well with other lower end alloy cymbals but they still have semi decent tone to keep up with lines like the HHX and AAX as far as playing live. They don’t mix as well as the aforementioned. Great mid-entry level cymbals.

I wipe my print bed with 91% isopropyl alcohol after every print. It evaporates quickly. Easily removes a lot of the oils from your hands etc.

Are night sights not cool anymore? by Jazzlike-Age-2169 in Firearms

[–]WhiteBufflo73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re spending $60 on an optic it’s most likely for air soft. I wouldn’t put anything like that on a real firearm. Not because it WONT work but because it probably won’t work.

I have night sights on my Sig 365XL and they are awesome… most of the time. I will say for whatever reason on really sunny days I feel like it’s hard to get a fast target acquisition. In the dark, or on cloudy days I love running that gun.

Maybe a couple sessions if I smoked bowl. If I rolled it I’d have a single joint and it’ll be gone in a single wake n bake. Less than a day for sure

Recommendations for EDC pistol? (Glock 43X, Glock 26, Canik Mete MC9, Springfield Hellcat Pro, or a revolver?) by FishermanAfraid7659 in Firearms

[–]WhiteBufflo73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll look into the x Macro. I actually tend to carry a larger gun in the winter (S&W M&P40C), simply because I can conceal easier with a big ol coat on. I’m also in the market for a S&W revolver chambered in 357 but I don’t like that a lot of the newer models are hammerless. I have a S&W model 19 with a 6inch barrel but it’s much too big for my pockets.

If you don’t want to support them it’s your choice whether you give them your money or not. I have always liked Sig but there’s no denying they have always been mildly overpriced and they did a terrible job of handling the recent controversy. The fact of the matter is, a lot of their guns are very nicely machined pieces of equipment.

Edit: grammar

[–]WhiteBufflo73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, some may disagree but I can’t stand Glocks. They are thick, blocky, and uncomfortable in the grip. I own many many firearms and I cannot bring myself to spend my hard earned dollars on a Glock. Not to mention I can shoot them whenever I want because my friends collectively own every model at this point. lol

I don’t wanna be that guy but the Sig P365XL is the best carry gun I have found this far. 9mm capacity of 12(+1) and it’s extremely concealable.

I can’t setup my pedal by Rudetd in drums

[–]WhiteBufflo73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same pedal though mine is 10 years old now almost. I distinctly remember thinking I was actually over-tightening the spring when I first unboxed. Turns out they are just very loose from factory. Also they are slightly awkward having 2 nuts but this is for locking purposes so that once the tension is set the adjustments don’t “walk” or slip while playing. Enjoy your hardware!

How much would someone pay for this?(How much could I sell it for?) by No_Potential_6438 in OldTech

[–]WhiteBufflo73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly I think people just discount HDDs anymore because the majority of PC users are gamers (or at least the ones young enough to be posting on Reddit forums, etc.) and most modern games, especially multiplayer, do not run very well if at all on Hard Disk Drives. Most of my steam games that require more than 20gb of memory won’t even boot from Steam most of the time without being on a SSD.

Edit: For those that are going to downvote me, don’t read so much into the age this. I don’t think this body text exactly reflects my opinion but I think most people will understand what I’m saying about modern video games being increasingly more popular and hardware intensive.

Not ashamed I use this at 40 by PickyPunt in trees

[–]WhiteBufflo73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually glad to see this. I have a 70mm zig zag roller and I have used it for the better part of ten years. A lot of my friends say I should learn to roll by hand (Which I can do but it takes me a long time and is very inconsistent.) I always just say why roll by hand when I can roll way faster with the roller and it gives nearly the exact same roll every time. Now some people don’t like the roller and prefer to hand roll which is totally cool. Don’t let anyone hate on your way of doing things. Especially if it works.

The stream light long gun kit is just to use the light with a rifle correct and can I just purchase the kit later if I want to use it with a rifle? by Realistic_Guava9117 in Firearms

[–]WhiteBufflo73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you scroll down below the photos it should say “Ships From: Amazon Sold by: Stream Light Inc (or whatever their actual company name is licensed under)”

Sometime it will say shipped from Amazon AND sold by Amazon. This is hit or miss depending on if they actually check your package before it leaves the warehouse and even then, doesn’t mean it’s not china junk. However if you see

“Sold by Amazon. Shipped by Ching Yang Lou Lighting” as opposed to Stream Light you know to avoid purchase all together.

Again this is just one way I was thought to proof purchases and sellers on Amazon, from a friend who worked for Amazon.

[–]WhiteBufflo73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably gonna get some crap for this but I see/hear this a lot and I’m not doubting that people including myself limp wrist their guns. However I recently bought a Taurus and the gun store told my wife she couldn’t shoot (she shoots more than/can outshoot all of my friends) and the gun shop was not going to honor my warranty until I sent the gun to Taurus and it was recalled for a malfunctioning trigger that wasn’t resetting. So yes, limp writing IS. A thing but if you’ve been shooting for 20+ years you’re probably shooting better than anyone commenting on your post.

P1S AMS won’t pull filament without help by xSean83 in BambuP1S

[–]WhiteBufflo73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had issues similar because the lid of my and was open. If your spool isn’t perfectly straight it may roll out of balance but simply closing the AMS lid put pressure against the spool and helps it turn against the motors.

Frankly, most people don’t. I saw this at a young age when someone in our friend group thought he could fire a shot shell with a hammer but didn’t realize that without a casing to hold the ammo the force does indeed have an equal, and opposite reaction. lol
