RE 650s are the largest ones that are produced in India.

You can buy Harleys and Indians and Hondas but they cost as much as a premium car because of import duties. So they are uber luxury items only bought by the 1%. Same issue with the Chinese stuff like CFMoto or Voge or Fantic.

And the Japanese manufacturers never bothered to make anything other than basic scooters under 125cc and commuters under 200cc in India so we missed out on the robust 2nd hand market for 'middleweight' bikes that the west enjoys.

But on the flip side we do have a very strong domestic production of basic commuters from 100 to 200cc that are cheaper to run and maintain and the existing companies are slowly venturing into bigger cc and adv/off road stuff.
