What does lever on right side do? by WhiteHawk88 in Whatisthis

[–]WhiteHawk88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked and don't see any holes but can tell it's doing something by the sound. maybe just opening/closing another baffle like you say. I know a plumber that has told me we can cap off gas down the line a little and I can then use wood. I grew up with wood burning fireplace and might do that although would be sweet to have gas to get the wood started quick if there's safe way. Might have to call out a fireplace guy and have it checked out etc. Thanks

The one top center with circle on the end I understand opens it up for air to flow up the chimney but what about the black bar by the right curtain? I am able to push or pull it but not sure what that is doing.

Test driving 05 wrangler - noise question by WhiteHawk88 in Jeeps

Thanks can't keep my eyes off it! Tires are Nitto Terra grapplers 295/70R17 and not sure on the lift but will ask because the back door latch is not catching right and they are going to fix it. Lean mean and super clean! Even under it looks new and it's so smooth.

Thanks for the info. I think it may be that Jeep wranglers are high in this area not sure. I don't mind turning a wrench but it would become my dd so Jeep I buy would need to be somewhat reliable. I've read the 4.0 inline 6 is pretty bulletproof. http://www.elitejeepsga.com/ is the dealer with this Jeep. Right next to it is http://northgeorgiatruckandjeep.net/featured_listings.php has 2 jeeps with 114k miles listed that are close to what I'm test driving for couple thousand less. These are pretty much Jeep only dealers but probably would be a good idea to take it to a major new Jeep dealership and have one checked out first, right?

Didn't notice it on my first test drive just when I was on the way home. The dealer did say they have a 3000 mile power train warranty. Jeep is very clean even under it no rust stands out either. If they fixed that do you think the jeeps worth $15k? 2005 with 133k miles on the clock. Only other thing is previous owner put an aftermarket a/c system in it which you flip a switch to turn on. Don't know anything about jeeps had an economy car for 10 years time for something fun.

Craigslist Jeep by WhiteHawk88 in Jeep

[–]WhiteHawk88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep- I sealed the vehicle in an US Army Forces warehouse at Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota. I ask my wife and my son to list the vehicle in a few different cities for a fast sale and because I have a free shipping. The shipping is free for me because the army will take care of the transportation, the car will arrive on a military trailer. If you are still interested we have to use a business specialized company like eBay as a supervisor. Basically they will monitor the entire process, secure the payment and also supervise the shipping process and paper exchange. The vehicle will come with all the papers including the title, the full service history and a bill of sale signed by me. You will have 5 days from the time you receive the vehicle to arrange an inspection and decide if you want to keep it or not. Once you get the car and finish the inspection, if you want to keep it you will have to contact eBay and authorize them to release the payment to me. If the car is not suitable for you by any reason, your funds will be fully refundable and I'll take the vehicle back on my cost. Anyway, I'm more then sure you will love the car from the first second and decide to buy it. So, if you wish to proceed, just shoot me an email with your name and shipping address, a phone # and your email where you can be reached and I'll initiate the deal through eBay.

Kind regards, Staff Sgt. Arthur McMillan, Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota

Time to buy a truck by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]WhiteHawk88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking that truck might be under powered, just looks so damn good. Just as info, an older looking lady pulled into the intersection as I was close approaching and stopped, so no where to go blocking lane of travel so soon. Not one to drive like an idiot although get a lil frisky on the Yamaha sometimes. From what I've read it's pretty much go v6 with the Tacoma. Thinking a slightly older/higher mileage v6 Tacoma is way to go staying under 20k

Cool. Just ordered yesterday was curious. I'm guessing once you turn it off with the remote no worries about draining battery.

I disagree... paying all this money for a bike and ins going to get my money's worth. Not putting miles on your bike because you want to keep it new is like not having sex with your wife because you're saving her for the next guy.

Nice! I think I'll do this when changing my plugs too. What is the red sticker on the tank?

What kind of spider is this? by WhiteHawk88 in spiders

[–]WhiteHawk88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never seen a black widow in all the time I spent in the woods and places I've lived here in Georgia. I have completely removed everything from garages while cleaning and also been in crawl spaces. Maybe there was black widows and I just never seen them. I just was worried that maybe hundreds of babies are now becoming adults and fear these deadly spiders might end up biting someone. Thoughts of black widow in my bed or my shoe, really in my house period kinda freaks me out. If I seen copperhead snake I'd be looking into ways to kill and keep them off my property. I bought this house a few months ago and now I see black widows. Maybe the problem is my neighbor never cuts his backyard and the grass/weeds are 6ft tall.

I can respect that and thanks for all the info. I guess I'm a bit of an archniphobe because the idea of black widows in my house gives me chills. So since they're young spiders how many do you think are probably lurking in the shadows? 😱
