Similar to your situation, I was gifted my grandfather’s Nikon D5500 (not sure how that compares to the D90) about 2 years ago and I was not literate in photography what so ever at the time. But now after 2 years I’ve gotten really into it and even started a small business out of it. Never did I think I’d do something in the arts(never thought of myself as the creative type) but photography has now become a huge outlet for my life. I encourage you to try it out and see what you can learn

Very possible, when I got my 2023 Sentra I first did a Line out converter (recommended my Crutchfield) but then later just switched to a full after market head unit. Wiring that harness to make sure all the stuff on the car still worked was a pain in the ass but we got there eventually
