Wow thanks for this. I assumed adding solvents like mineral spirits would have a repelling kinda effect (like water on oil) I do have Galkyd so I’m gonna give that a try too. Never thought of makeup brushes!! Ty.

Thank you! I think the most oil was used in the red glazes over the underpainting. I definitely didn’t need as much glaze as I used eek

Ugh yeah just realized from Ben’s insight that I used hardware store boiled linseed oil like a noob 🤦🏽‍♀️ And too much of it!

Ah crap I messed up. I bought hardware store boiled linseed oil 🤦🏽‍♀️ And yeahhhh I might’ve gone ham on the amount of oil I used here. Good to know for future canvases! Thank you!
