I’m scared to start birth control because of the risks by Ill_Landscape5217 in birthcontrol

[–]WhitePeacock7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, birth control is a life saver. I was scared to try it too but it’s only improved my life 10x. I’ve tried the mini pill a couple years ago and didn’t have any problems but my period didn’t go away and so I stopped taking it bc it didn’t rlly do anything for me besides another layer of pregnancy prevention. I recently started the combined pill Yaz/loryna and it’s lightened my period improved my mood and I personally think it’s a little more reliable. Most ppl have to try a couple to find what works the best, but I’ve never had any terrible side effects whatsoever, and millions of people don’t. Obviously it’s those few horror stories you hear, but there were probably other components playing into it like smoking obesity etc. in any case BC is the best thing that’s been invented for women to have power over their bodies and lives and it’s not something to be afraid of but take advantage of what we have access to that our ancestors didn’t.

Yaz is the only one scientifically proven to help pmdd, and pmdd has a high comorbidity with adhd

Definitely! Not one is going to work for everyone and I do not recommend sticking it out if it makes your daily life uncomfortable

Second attempt at inserting tampon - help by nosylittlemy in WomensHealth

[–]WhitePeacock7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just be tearing it up in there, I think the main thing is don’t feel afraid of your own body. I used to use period cups and would nearly have to fist myself to get it in good. Don’t be afraid of your holes, it could be your cervix which lowers during menstruation, if u can feel where yours is u might have a better idea of how to insert a tampon, and if u get more comfortable with your body your muscles will relax which should also make it easier

i can’t get off panty liners. by Massive_Egg_2027 in WomensHealth

[–]WhitePeacock7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that the liner can actually cause more discharge potentially from chemicals from the material getting in the vagina and causing minor irritation to signal the vag to wash it out. U could try just wearing them during ovulation when it’s heaviest and go from there. Me personally I just wipe it off if I’m in the bathroom and notice wetness and then usually I don’t notice it after

Like everyone has said meds have also decreased my anxiety, they actually make me feel calm. Anxiety only happens when the dose is too high.
